Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1568

Seeing the message, Aurora finally let out a sigh of relief.

She hadn’t quite figured out what she would do if Lucas happened to run into Yvonne.

After all, the two had been longtime business partners, while she and Lucas had only met halfway through his life.

Yes, they were legally married, but Lucas and Yvonne had years of seamless cooperation—something she couldn’t just insert herself into overnight.

But then she remembered the promise Lucas had made the night before.

If he said those words, he must have meant them. She shouldn’t let herself doubt him again.

Yvonne might have known him for years, might even share a deep professional bond, but Aurora wasn’t insignificant either. No matter what, she was Lucas’ wife now. That alone set her apart.

They had already endured so much together, and it wouldn’t be fair to let one person’s sudden appearance erase everything they’d been through.

With that thought, her mood instantly lifted.

Having Lucas beside her last night made her feel grounded again, and she’d slept more soundly than she had in days. When she woke, she felt completely recharged.

After washing up, she opened the door just as Megan appeared outside, carrying breakfast.

Megan had been worried all night that Aurora might not have taken yesterday’s events well.

But the moment she looked up, she was surprised that Aurora looked bright, refreshed, even more radiant than the day before.

“I’m really glad you can see it that way.” Megan stepped inside and began setting the breakfast neatly on the table.

“Come on, eat up. You’ve got a full day of filming ahead. You’ll need all the energy you can get, so don’t even think about skipping a meal.”

“Alright, my little housekeeper,” Aurora teased, her smile soft and amused.

As they ate, Megan scrolled through her phone, checking the online discussions about the show. But the more she looked, the more confused she became.

“That’s weird. Why is it so quiet online?” she muttered under her breath.

Hearing that, Aurora raised an eyebrow. “What’s wrong? What do you mean it’s quiet?”
