Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1834

Yvonne smiled as she tried to comfort the two elders.

In truth, she didn’t hold any real hope in her heart. She only wanted to settle her parents’ worries.

If doing this could bring them some peace, then she was willing to go along with it.

As expected, the moment she spoke, both Michelle and Charles nodded eagerly.

Michelle even let out several relieved “yes, yes” responses in a row.

“Our daughter really thinks things through. Everything is worth trying at least once. Since the chance is already here, why not give it a shot?”

“I agree. Our daughter sees things clearly,” Charles added, praising her as well.

But hearing their praise, Yvonne didn’t know how to feel.

She didn’t believe she was as wonderful as they made her sound. She was simply doing what she felt she should do.

She didn’t fully understand what her parents were thinking, but she knew she should go along with their wishes.

If it helped them feel better, that alone made it worth it. That was all Yvonne wanted right now.

She didn’t expect much.

She only hoped her parents wouldn’t be too harsh on her anymore.

They were getting older, and if she didn’t meet them halfway, she knew she might regret it someday.

So, she no longer overthought things. As long as her parents could live happily, she could endure anything.

Besides, they truly had been good to her.

She was the one who misunderstood them before. Now that everything could be explained clearly, why bother holding onto petty grievances?

Once they talked things out, life could return to what it was before.
