Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1923

So, she needed to take advantage of this moment and ask everything clearly.

Only then could she plan what came next.

Otherwise, she would remain completely in the dark.

With that thought, Yvonne’s resolve only hardened.

She lifted her gaze, eyes fixed on Philip.

Seeing her like this, Philip had no choice.

“All right, all right. Don’t worry. If there’s any news, I’ll definitely let you know.”

“Then thank you, Mr. Carter Sr.”

Yvonne’s voice carried a hint of excitement.

She had never imagined Philip would be this approachable.

At the beginning, with the way he carried himself, she truly thought this visit would end in failure.

She had even been quietly preparing herself for what might come next.

She hadn’t expected such a turn of events.

As she walked out with her parents, her thoughts still felt unreal.

“Mom, Dad… does that mean this matter is finally settled?”

Seeing her daughter’s dazed expression, Michelle couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness.

Still, she let out a breath of relief.

“Of course. My daughter will have a bright future ahead.”

Charles cleared his throat. “All right, whatever you want to say, let’s talk about it outside. Let’s not bother Mr. Carter Sr. any further.”

Hearing that, Yvonne finally came to her senses.

Saying anything more here would serve no purpose.

And what if Philip overheard and decided not to speak clearly to Edwin?

Wouldn’t all her efforts be wasted?

With that thought, Yvonne took her parents by the arm and hurried out of the Carter residence.

Instead of wasting time here, she might as well leave and start planning the future of her studio.

Once outside, Yvonne finally relaxed and linked arms with her parents.

She was certain the road ahead would be smooth.

There would be no more harassment from Edwin.

Inside the house, Aurora watched the three of them walk away and felt a little confused.

“Lucas, why did they come to see Grandpa?”

Hearing that, Lucas shook his head instinctively.

“I’m not sure either.”

He frowned slightly. “Grandpa didn’t tell me about it.”

“Mom, Dad, do you know?”

As he asked the last question, Lucas looked toward his parents.

But both Diana and Edward shook their heads as well.
