Vincent took the glass from her hand and said to Ethan, “Mr. Warren, I’ll drink this on Sabrina’s behalf.”
With that, he finished the drink in one go.
Seeing Vincent treat Sabrina with such care, Ethan couldn’t help glancing once more at Scarlett.
He was genuinely confused now. Which one was actually Vincent’s wife?
Vincent had arrived with Scarlett.
But recalling how Scarlett had introduced herself as Vincent’s executive assistant, and now witnessing Vincent’s attentiveness toward Sabrina, Ethan privately concluded that Sabrina must be the one.
Once convinced, he smiled warmly at Sabrina. “It’s perfectly alright. Please, don’t feel obliged.”
Appreciating his kindness, Sabrina smiled gently. “Thank you, Mr. Warren.”
Ethan nodded, then turned his attention to Caleb. “Vincent, and this distinguished young gentleman is…?”
He had noticed this person earlier at the entrance.
Although he didn’t recognize him, he understood the individual must hold considerable status.
After all, over the years, the only people consistently seen with Vincent were Daniel and Harris.
This unfamiliar face was certainly no ordinary figure.
Before Vincent could respond, Zachary on the opposite side couldn’t resist snorting dismissively. “Mr. Warren, he’s hardly worth remembering. No need to trouble yourself with him.”
Hearing this, Vincent quickly explained to Ethan, “Mr. Warren, this is Caleb. He has business dealings with Daniel and me.”
Ethan withdrew his gaze from Zachary. Looking back at Caleb, his eyes held considerably more appreciation. “I see. A rising star, then. Impressive–so young and already making your mark.”
Caleb stood up and shook hands with Ethan, replying modestly, “I’m flattered by your kind

Ethan smiled, exchanged a few more pleasantries with everyone, and moved on to the next table.
This kind of bustling, noisy socializing was commonplace for the young heirs of established families, but Scarlett had never enjoyed it.
So, she remained seated quietly, occasionally refilling her glass with red wine.
Damian sat beside her, watching her subdued mood. He felt a pang in his heart but didn’t know how to comfort her.
Under the table, he took her cold hand in his. “Stop drinking. You’ll end up getting drunk.”
But she gently pried his fingers away, offering him a faint smile. “It’s alright.”
Her alcohol tolerance was fairly good; this amount wouldn’t affect her much.
It was simply the environment she disliked.
Vincent sat directly opposite. He too noticed Scarlett drinking continuously. Seeing her like this, he frowned slightly.
Just as he was about to tell her to stop, Sabrina suddenly took his arm and whispered, “Vincent, I need to use the restroom.”
Hearing this, Vincent withdrew his gaze from Scarlett. “Let’s go, then. I’ll accompany you.”
After Sabrina stood up, Vincent followed closely.
He stayed near her, as if concerned she might stumble, even placing a protective hand lightly near her back.
With just a slight lift of her head, Scarlett could see Vincent and Sabrina walking away together.
They were inseparable, always side by side.
The sight felt utterly ironic.
After watching them leave, complex emotions flickered across Scarlett’s face.
Daniel, sitting opposite, easily noticed her despondency and felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction.
Caleb, observing Scarlett’s apparent sadness, found himself wishing she would finalize her divorce from Vincent sooner.

As for Damian, sensing Scarlett’s unhappiness made him equally upset–even frustrated and
angry.
He was frustrated with his own past indecisiveness and angry that Scarlett still seemed affected by Vincent.
Around the table, emotions varied. No one spoke further, each lost in their own quiet reflections.
Meanwhile, after toasting two more tables, Ethan’s phone rang.
He glanced at the screen, then said to the group he was about to toast, “My apologies, I need to take this call. I’ll be right back.”
No one dared object as Ethan stepped away to answer the phone.
In the quieter backyard, he finally took the call. It was Xavier on the line.
“So? How are things there?”
Hearing Xavier’s eagerness, Ethan smiled. “Don’t worry, Mr. Stewart. Vincent and his wife are getting along wonderfully.”
Hearing this, Xavier laughed heartily. “Really?”
“Absolutely true,” Ethan confirmed. “Vincent not only drinks for her but even personally accompanies her to the restroom. You can set your mind at ease.”
