The first look was a relaxed red sweater paired with a fitted mocha-colored skirt, layered under a long black coat and matched with tan suede sandals. Scarlett was tall with naturally elegant proportions, and the outfit highlighted every bit of that effortlessly. The second she stepped out, Damian's eyes visibly lit up.

Scarlett stood in front of the mirror and turned slightly from side to side before looking at him through the reflection. "Damian, what do you think? Does it look good?"

Damian stood behind her with one hand in his pocket, his gaze fixed on her reflection in the mirror as a soft smile settled into his expression. "You look amazing."

The warmth rushing into Scarlett's cheeks became impossible to hide. "Then I'll take this one."

She didn't bother trying on the remaining outfits after that.

While the associate carried the tags to the register, Scarlett followed over and pulled out her phone, intending to pay herself, but Damian immediately reached over and pressed her hand down before she could do anything.

"I'm standing right here," he said, amusement clear in his voice. "Why are you paying?"

Scarlett still tried to insist. "Damian, I should pay for it myself. You've already helped me enough."

He looked at her with an easy smile in his eyes. "Taking care of you is exactly what I'm supposed to do, isn't it?"

The associate was too busy checking prices into the system to pay attention to their conversation. Once she finished ringing everything up, she finally looked up and said politely, "Your total comes to nine hundred eighty thousand dollars."

Scarlett froze the instant she heard the number. "How much?"

Before coming in, she had assumed the clothes would cost maybe one hundred thousand at most. That was still expensive, but manageable. She had never expected a single outfit to cost this much.

Embarrassment immediately crept across her face, and she slowly lowered her eyes as her ears turned red.

Seeing her reaction, Damian pressed his lips together to hide a smile before handing his phone to the associate. "Use mine. My wife doesn't handle the finances yet."

The associate's smile instantly widened again. "You're so good to your wife, sir. She's really lucky."
