Awakened Housewife Ignore Betrayer's Begs (Scarlett) novel Chapter 761

Scarlett's handwriting was neat and elegant, every word carefully written across the page.

When Vincent still said nothing, the last trace of warmth in her expression disappeared completely.

Looking at him with exhausted disappointment, she said quietly, "Vincent, I honestly wish I'd never met you."

After that, she pushed back her chair and stood, clearly ready to leave.

Just then, Vincent glanced at his watch. It was exactly one o'clock.

After a brief pause, he looked up at her. "The county clerk's office should reopen soon. Let's wait here a little longer, then go finish the divorce paperwork this afternoon."

Scarlett stopped walking.

A few seconds later, she turned back toward him, her eyes filled with cold disdain. "I can stay and wait, but I'm not sitting at the same table with you."

Without another word, she walked over to a table farther away.

Then she lifted a hand and waved over a waitress.

The waitress approached with a polite smile. "Hi, what can I get started for you?"

Scarlett barely looked at the menu. "Fresh orange juice, and shrimp pasta, please."

"Absolutely."

At the neighboring table, Vincent heard her order and let out a quiet sarcastic laugh.

A few minutes later, the food arrived.

Scarlett immediately started eating without caring how she looked. She deliberately twirled the pasta loudly and chewed without restraint, almost like she wanted him to hear every bite.

Vincent's brows slowly drew together.

Scarlett ignored him completely.

She pulled out her phone and checked the screen. Still nothing from Damian.

After thinking about it for a moment, she figured he was probably buried in work and decided not to bother him.

At the same time, Vincent's phone rang.

He lowered his eyes and saw Abbott's name flashing across the screen.

The second he answered, his gaze instinctively drifted toward Scarlett.

The way she was eating wasn't graceful in the slightest. If anything, it looked intentionally provocative.

His expression tightened.

"Mr. Stewart?" Abbott's voice came through the line.

Vincent snapped back to attention. "What is it?"

"We've got everything ready."

A dark look flickered across Vincent's eyes. Lowering his voice, he said, "Good. Shut the door on him."

As he spoke, he deliberately watched Scarlett's reaction, worried she might pick up on what he meant.

But Scarlett didn't seem remotely interested in who he was talking to.

"Understood, Mr. Stewart."

Vincent still wasn't fully satisfied. His voice turned colder. "Before tonight's over, I want this buried for good."
