Awakened Housewife Ignore Betrayer's Begs (Scarlett) novel Chapter 847

Despite his playful complaint, Eric was utterly overjoyed.

It was then that Eric finally noticed Scarlett standing beside Damian. He stared at her, full of confusion and surprise. "Mr. Langley, why is Ms. Theron here..."

Damian laced his fingers tightly through Scarlett's. He glanced at her briefly before answering Eric. "From now on, you can call her Mrs. Langley."

His words stunned everyone in the room—not just Eric, but Felix and Zachary as well.

The two men turned to stare at Damian at the exact same time.

Feeling their gazes fixed on him, Damian smiled calmly. "You two can call her Mrs. Langley from now on too."

Felix was always composed. After the initial shock faded, his expression settled back into complete calm.

Zachary, however, spoke up the second Damian finished. "Hello, Mrs. Langley."

He drew out each word slowly, his tone deliberately exaggerated.

Scarlett grew flustered at his teasing address. "Don't listen to him. Just call me Scarlett."

Zachary's tone turned earnest. "If that's what Damian wants, then that's what I'll call you."

Helpless, Scarlett finally gave in.

Seeing she no longer resisted, Damian pulled out a chair for her and gently guided her to sit down.

The moment she settled into her seat, Felix, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke, "Mrs. Langley."

Scarlett turned to look at him, her face flushing bright red.

She felt utterly embarrassed. She was still not officially divorced from Vincent, and she did not feel worthy of someone as pure and sincere as Damian.

Yet Damian's friends never seemed to judge her past. They treated her with nothing but kindness and respect.

She could not help but feel inferior. She had never had friends like them before. Among Vincent's circle, there was no one quite like Zachary or Felix.

Truly, birds of a feather flock together.

Aware of how easily flustered Scarlett was, Damian stepped in to ease her embarrassment. "Let's eat. We're all hungry."

Felix did not press the matter. He raised his voice and called out, "Waiter."

A knock came at the door moments later.

"Come in," Felix said.

The waiter stood at the door. "Shall we serve the dishes now?"

"Yes, bring them out," Felix replied.

Within minutes, the table was filled with food.

After everyone raised their glasses to toast Eric's birthday, Damian, Felix, and Zachary fell into conversation about work.
