Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 121

Chapter 121 Fell Into the Sea

Yates clutched a small bundle and hurled it toward Layla with all his strength.

He lacked the power, and the package began falling short before it reached her.

Shane caught it with his tail.

With his grip gone, Liam plummeted instantly. He drove his combat knife deeper into the beast’s flesh dragging the blade downward, before he fell away.

“Shane! I’ll never forgive you for this!” Liam seethed bitterly.

I wish you’d just let me fall and die back there instead of catching me.

Shane moved in an instant. He hooked the bundle with his tail, whipped it upward, and tossed it directly within Layla’s reach. Then he twisted to grab Liam.

By then, Liam was already falling. Shane alone did not have enough strength to haul him back up.

Their predicament was grim: Shane’s jaws were locked onto the Quetzalcoatlus’ wing joint, his body coiled tightly around its leg, and his tail wound around Liam. His entire serpentine form was stretched taut.

Shane never thought he would wind up in such an absurdly awkward situation.

Liam scrambled frantically, trying to climb up Shane’s body, but the snake’s scales were far too slick. He climbed a short distance only to slide right back down.

Shane could only strain harder to hold on to him.

Layla grabbed the bundle and unfolded it. Inside were dried wild herbs. She recalled Yates gathering them before, explaining some had medicinal uses while others were toxic.

“Layla!” Yates screamed from the ground below. “Those are toxic! Stuff them into its wounds!”

Understanding at once, Layla acted immediately.

The dried herbs crumbled easily. She grabbed a large handful and forced them deep into the gash across the Quetzalcoatlus’ back.

The beast let out a sharp shriek and dove straight toward Yates on the ground.

That tiny creature hurt me!

Petrified, Yates froze, unable to run. Pure instinct took over, and he shifted into his pika form, tumbling down the hillside.

The small, round pika rolled all the way down to the ocean at the base of the slope, and the waves swallowed him in an instant.

[Aaaaah! Yates! He fell into the sea! Someone save him!]

[Stop screaming! They can barely keep themselves alive! Who’s even capable of rescuing him?]

Chapter 121 Fell Into the Sea

[It’s over… Yates! You hadn’t even gotten your big break yet! You said you wanted everyone to watch you dance! Swim up! Get out of there!]

No matter how desperately the live chat begged, the tiny pika vanished beneath the choppy waves and was

gone.

“Yates!” Layla cried out in anguish, her eyes blazing with rage.

“Damn it!” She pulled her combat knife free and stabbed downward again, wrenching the blade sideways tear the wound even wider.

Yet injuries of this scale were nowhere near fatal for a sixty-foot wingspan apex beast.

They only inflicted pain.

Enraged by the agony and the loss of the small prey, the beast thrashed and convulsed, trying to fling the intruders from its back.

Layla clung on, one hand gripping her knife while the other forced toxic herbs into the wound. She had no hands left to steady herself. The second she stuffed the last of the herbs inside, her body lurched violently.

In that split second, she grabbed onto the pterosaur’s wing to keep from falling.

The beast soared high above the ocean. As an avian beastkin, Layla couldn’t swim and had a crippling fear of water. If she fell now, she would drown long before it could devour her.

“Get down here!”

A cold, urgent voice called up from below in that exact moment.

[That’s George! I recognize his voice!]

[George is a merman! He can control water!]

[Quick, does anyone know-can the pterosaur go in seawater?]

[It can go into water, but can’t stay submerged for long. If George really is a merman, he can probably shield them for a while. With Shane’s potent venom already taking effect, they still have a good chance of escaping.]

Liam realized this too at once. He glanced up at Shane. “Have you finished injecting all your venom?”

Shane had released all his venom some time prior. But they were flying too high; jumping meant certain ‘death.

Now spotting George in the ocean below, he hesitated no longer. He uncoiled from the beast’s leg and shouted to Layla, “We jump first, then you follow!”

[If they jump, the pterosaur will chase them and leave Layla alone.]

[Oh my, Prof. Slater truly cares for her.]
