Chapter 167 Come Stay in My Tent
In the show. Blaze played her personal bodyguard and secret lover
There were a few intimate scenes, but nothing too explicit.
Her character was a spoiled, arrogant princess, nothing like her real self at all.
Blaze had told her before that he liked her and wanted to move into her tent.
But she’d assumed he liked the princess she’d played on screen, not her.
Someone with Blaze’s personality couldn’t possibly be interested in a timid, cowardly girl like her.
But winter was genuinely brutal. If even a bear could freeze to death…
Even though all she had was a tent, which hardly seemed like an adequate shelter against the cold, surely t was better than nothing.
With that thought, Hanna looked up. “If you don’t mind how bare-bones my place is, you can stay.”
“How could it be bare-bones?”
Blaze’s eyes lit up. He shot Layla a look of profound gratitude, just a flash, and then his attention was entirely consumed by Hanna. He had eyes for no one else.
“It’s only a tent. How is that not bare-bones?”
Caleb had always looked down on this tent. He’d constantly complain about how shabby it was, how useless she was. Other people scored stone houses or wooden cabins. She could only manage a tent.
He’d sneer that she was a fox beastkin and still couldn’t out-compete a rabbit.
“What does it matter if it’s simple now? We’ll just build something better.”
Blaze turned to Layla. Isn’t there a cave near your place? What do you say we move there?”
“Why not? But that cave is a little small. Are you sure?”
Blaze’s eyes brightened even further. Small is good! Small is cozy. Every time I look up. I’ll see her. Every time she looks up, she’ll see me.
“Small means it’ll hold heat better.”
“Once our place is finished, I’ll come help with yours.”
“Deal!” Blaze clapped his hands and turned to Hanna. “I’ll go tidy up that cave later. You pack your things and come with me, okay?”
“Oh,” Hanna said. “Give me a minute.”
She turned to go back, a vague sense that something was off nagging at her. But after mulling it over, she couldn’t pinpoint what, so she just went inside to pack.

(Wan, if Blaze already has a place to stay, why is he so dead set on moving into Hanna tent
[Dummy! The real intention lies elsewhere. Anyone with eyes can see Blaze is here for Hanna |
[Hanna is seriously dazed from all the drama today. She’s normally not this spacey!
[Understandable. Anyone who went through all that would be a little out of it. But has she really not neced what’s happening? Blaze has a place to stay! He’s weaseling his way into her tent, and now he’s about to whisk her off entirely.]
[I wonder when she’ll figure it out. Such a spacey female. Followed. Gotta see how long it takes her to realize she just got sold.]
Hanna didn’t have much. Her food stores were meager.
She was a fox beastkin, not a large species to begin with. Her hunting could only bring down small game With Caleb around, a man who did absolutely nothing but lie at home waiting to be fed. the prey she caught barely covered both their meals, let alone stockpiling anything.
She hadn’t brought many supplies to Planet A13 in the first place. Everything she owned fit into a single
case.
But as she stood outside the tent, just as Blaze stepped forward to grab her luggage, she suddenly stopped and turned to face him.
Blaze’s heart seized. Thinking Hanna had caught on to his little scheme, he stood at attention, his eyes fixed intently on her, ready to drop to one knee and apologize the moment she called him out.
Instead, Hanna looked at him for a long moment. The corner of her mouth curved up. She pointed at the tent behind her. “Can you help me take this down?”
“Huh?” Blaze blinked in confusion. Then he registered what she’d said and smacked his own forehead. “Got it! On it right now!”
Practically skipping, he set to work dismantling the tent. He moved fast. It wasn’t long before it was broken down and tied up with a rope.
Layla waited beside Hanna as he worked, then walked back with them.
The cave Blaze had mentioned was barely a hundred yards from Layla’s place.
When Layla reached home, everyone else had dispersed. Only Shane and Yates remained.
Yates sat at the table, sorting through his foraged greens. Shane sat across from him, sketching and scribbling.
Whatever Shane was drawing was probably classified, because their indoor Vanguard was aimed squarely at
