Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 192

Chapter 192 Tending the Wound

In any other setting, Shane not standing right there, Layla might have been tempted to run her hands over them.

But Shane was here, his gaze fixed on her. The moment her fingers twitched, he’d blow up.

Layla couldn’t bear making Shane upset. Instead, she quietly admired the sight, her gaze traveling up his slender leg.

Just before Shane’s temper hit its limit, she asked, “Can’t he just shift to beast form?”

Liam and Shane paused.

Neither of them had thought of that.

The answer, of course, was yes.

Liam was covered in blood. He looked gravely wounded.

Shifting to beast form would accelerate his healing.

Liam did suffer a serious injury, but not in his leg, but in his waist and abdomen.

He must have been hit by the horn of some animal, and blood holes were gushing out.

The three of them walked, and his wound left a dripping trail.

“No, we can’t keep going.” Layla finally spoke up. “We need to treat his wound, or he’ll bleed to death.”

In his deer form, Liam’s complexion was unreadable, but every step he took was a stagger, a sway.

The fawn was originally a rather lively animal, but now Liam showed no sign of liveliness at all. Instead, he looked frail and worn out, as if he might die at any moment.

Shane thought Liam could hold on until they found safety.

But Layla’s words caused them to stop.

“I’ll look for a sheltered ravine ahead,” Shane said, moving forward.

Liam’s legs buckled, and he collapsed onto the ground.

“Don’t lie like that. If dirt gets on your wound, it’ll be hard to clean and could get infected.”

Liam flinched at her tone and gingerly shifted onto his side.

From this angle, the abdominal wound was starkly visible. The fur around it was drenched dark with blood.

“That needs to be bandaged. The fur has to be trimmed.”

The moment the words left her mouth, Liam went rigid.

“Trimmed…?”

Before he could process, Layla was crouched in front of him, knife in hand.

Liam anxiously clamped his hind legs together. “It’s not necessary. I can heal on my own in about ten days!

“Do you have ten days to spare?” Layla shot back, her patience waning. “Hurry up and stop being difficult.

With her temper flaring, Liam chose not to argue..

He felt inexplicably guilty challenging her.

“Let’s wait for Shane to find the cave.”

“Why wait? Sooner or later, it has to be done. Does waiting for Shane to return mean we won’t have to do it? Or do you think your wounds will be healed by the time Shane gets back?”

That was certainly impossible.

Liam sighed. “It’s really not appropriate.”

His tail was even clamped tight. He wouldn’t budge.

“What’s not appropriate?” Layla shot back.

Liam let out a slow breath. “I’m a male.”

“So? What’s being male got to do with it?” Layla had absolutely no idea what Liam was getting so worked up about.

“Don’t you know males and females, shouldn’t be too intimate?” He paused before adding, “I’m a normal male, both physically and mentally.”

“So what? Being normal doesn’t mean you can’t get hurt or sick.”

Of course they did.

But this was Layla.

Even if he didn’t want to admit it, he couldn’t stand the thought of looking this pathetic in front of her.

He wanted her to see him as heroic, formidable.

But now he was in a very sorry state.

He was tricked, covered in powder, stripped naked and fled in a panic, and was injured like this.

And now she was going to shave the hair off his belly with her own hands.

He knew exactly where his wound was. He’d have to spread his hind legs.

Facing a female like that, it was too indecent.

“Layla! Do you even understand?” Liam propped himself up on one side, lifting his head close to her face.
