Chapter 234 Layla Takes Flight
[So many people died. The production team is responsible, right? This oversight is outrageous.]
[Is the production team all dead? Why hasn’t anyone come to help? Liam and George are doing all the work!]
Viewers were frantic.
But the production team, who should have responded fastest, seemed to have all fallen asleep. Not a single person spoke up.
Ciara sat before a screen, swirling a wine glass in her hand, a cruel madness in her eyes.
She didn’t believe Layla could survive this.
Layla watched Shane, whose body was beginning to tremble, and fury rose in her heart.
She turned to look at Liam, who had narrowly avoided losing an arm to a Quetzalcoatlus, and finally stood up abruptly.
Shane realized at once what Layla was about to do. He reached out to grab her.
Layla sidestepped him gently.
She turned back, her expression hidden in the shadows of the blazing fire.
“This attack was aimed at me,” she said quietly.
She raised a finger toward the burnt remains of their tent.
“More than a dozen came in total. Eight of them gathered right in front of our tent, like they were searching for something.”
Layla knew Stella was behind it.
But this wasn’t the time to confront her. She had to act.
She couldn’t let more innocent people die.
Shane sensed Layla’s resolve. His eyes dimmed.
Finally, he looked up at her. “If anything happens to you, I’ll follow.”
Layla smiled. She knelt and reached out to touch Shane’s thin cheek. “Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to
me.”
With that, Layla turned, determination burning in her eyes.
Watching from her hiding spot, Stella grinned excitedly.
Great! That bitch Layla is finally going to die!

Chapter 234 Layla Takes Flight
But the next second, a piercing shriek nearly burst her eardrums.
Then a brilliant, multi-colored light exploded nearby, almost blinding her.
Layla had shifted into her beast form. Her sharp eyes swept over the rampaging Quetzalcoatlus.
She immediately recognized the largest one as the leader.
Without hesitation, she charged, swiping her claw and tearing a chunk from the leader’s back
It cried out in pain.
Instantly, all the Quetzalcoatlus turned away from their attacks and flew toward Layla.
Layla looked back once at the stunned George and Liam, then flew resolutely into the distance.
She had to lure them away.
Otherwise, the fight would harm innocent contestants.
Vanguard immediately chased after Layla, broadcasting every second live.
Everyone held their breath for Layla.
[Is this Layla’s beast form? It’s stunning! I thought those pictures online were Photoshopped.]
[But can she survive luring away that many Quetzalcoatlus alone?]
[I have to admit, Layla is truly remarkable. Even if she doesn’t make it, won’t the others survive?]
[Sorry for trash-talking Layla before. I’ll definitely visit her grave to pay my respects.]
Everyone thought Layla was dead meat.
Even though she had escaped danger many times before, now she was going solo against Planet A13’s most brutal and powerful predators.
And not one, but over a dozen. There was no way she could win.
But Layla was completely calm. She flapped her wings, didn’t even look back, dodged the Quetzalcoatlus’ fireballs deftly, and even turned to fire a blast that severely injured the alpha.
