The camp fell silent.

After a good meal, everyone seemed to turn in early.

The only sound was the crackling of wood in the campfire.

Danger crept closer in the dark.

Within the Quetzalcoatlus nest, the great whoosh of beating wings echoed.

A sharp claw stepped out of the cave first.

The alpha Quetzalcoatlus fixed its piercing gaze on the camp, now missing part of its barrier.

It spread its wings and slowly rose into the air.

Silver moonlight glinted off its armor-like scales, reflecting a dangerous sheen.

The alpha let out a piercing cry, and the entire nest of Quetzalcoatlus poured out.

They followed their leader, flying toward the camp.

A subtle change in the air made Liam, who had been staring at the fire, snap his head up.

He squinted, his eyes sharp, stood, and scanned the surroundings with a frown.

But all was still quiet, only the occasional night wind rustling leaves.

Yet his admiral’s instincts screamed that something was wrong.

Liam didn’t hesitate. He turned and rushed into the tent, his voice tense. “Wake up!”

Shane’s eyes snapped open immediately. The survival instincts from the apocalypse were still razor-sharp. and Layla also woke instantly.

George rubbed his eyes and grumbled, “What’s wrong?”

Liam looked at Layla, deadly serious. “Something’s off. We need to leave. Now.”

Layla and Shane exchanged a glance, asked no questions, and quickly began packing.

Neither doubted Liam’s gut.

George still had no clue. “What’s going on? Why are we packing?”

Before he finished, an explosion-like boom shook the air.

Then the campfire outside blazed up, illuminating the whole tent.

He knew something was wrong!

Layla dressed quickly, grabbed Shane, and ran out.

George was yanked out by Liam a moment later.

The scene was nothing like the one Liam had seen before he went in.

Giant Quetzalcoatlus had broken into the camp!.

They were destroying shelters, snatching survivors from the rubble, tossing them into the air, and gulping them down with their massive jaws.

None of the contestants had ever seen anything like this.

“This isn’t right. These Quetzalcoatlus… didn’t the production team activate a barrier? How did they get in?

George whipped his head toward Liam. “Is this really the time to ask that?”

Right then, a fireball exploded on the tent behind them, engulfing it in searing flames.

Layla’s eyes wavered. She pulled Shane and retreated to a far corner.

The camp that had been so joyful moments ago was now a living hell.

Fireballs exploded everywhere, buildings burned, and contestants screamed.

Liam looked at Layla, placed a hand on her shoulder, and said in a low voice, “Stay hidden with Shane and the others. I’ll deal with the Quetzalcoatlus.”

But Liam was just one admiral. He couldn’t take on so many Quetzalcoatlus alone.

Layla looked at him worriedly. Just as she was about to speak, George stood up.

His expression was resolute, gone was his usual playful demeanor. “Wait for me. I’m coming with you.”

Liam gave George a long, deep look and slowly nodded.

Watching their backs, Layla’s hands unconsciously clenched. Flames reflected in her eyes, along with undisguised worry.

Shane looked at Layla and gently raised his hand.

A ring of light spread quickly before them, forming a protective shield.

But forming it made Shane’s already pale face turn even whiter.
