Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 253

Chapter 253 Clever Bargain

This was exactly what she’d planned for.

Layla set down the roughly carved wooden planks and walked over to the crowd with King Kong trailing obediently at her heels.

As they watched the giant creature follow Layla so calmly, the other participants’ initial fear faded away

“Layla, what exactly is this thing? Did you bring it along as emergency food supplies?” one participant called out curiously.

Layla nearly laughed out loud at the suggestion. Whistling sharply to get King Kong’s attention, she nodded toward a towering nearby tree.

With one powerful sweep of its wing, King Kong sliced through the massive trunk cleanly. The giant tree crashed heavily to the ground, drawing gasps of shock from the onlookers.

It dawned on everyone immediately why Layla had kept King Kong by her side.

Having a living, automatic lumber cutter at her disposal was an invaluable advantage every group craved.

A male participant with no prior bad blood toward Layla stepped forward tentatively.

“Layla… could your King Kong help us cut down a few trees too?”

Nearly every group planned to build wooden campsites on the planet.

The ancient trees here were far too thick and sturdy to chop down with the basic tools provided by the

tournament staff.

Left to their own devices, they’d be struggling for ages just to fell one tree.

Layla nodded agreeably, prompting relieved smiles from the crowd-until she held up a finger to lay out

her terms.

“I won’t ask it to work for free. Survival is the whole point of this tournament. I tamed King Kong fair and square with my own strength, so anyone wanting its help has to offer something in return.”

Silence fell over the group as they exchanged awkward glances.

It was only their first day on the alien planet, with nothing but the basic supplies given to them by the organizers.

None was willing to part with their limited tools, either.

Without them, they’d have no way to build shelters, even with lumber ready.

Noticing their hesitation, Layla wore a knowing grin.

“Relax, I’m not some greedy miser who’ll take your only supplies.”

Relief washed over the crowd.

Chapter 253 Clever Bargain

Layla’s tone made it clear she wouldn’t make unreasonable demands.

Still smiling, Layla wagged her finger playfully.

“Here’s my deal. Anyone who hires King Kong to cut lumber owes me a quarter of all the prey they hun from now on. Fair enough?”

A collective murmur of protest rose up instantly. “A quarter’s way too much!”

Layla shrugged unbothered. “Suit yourselves. Keep chopping trees by hand if you’d rather.”

Her casual reply silenced every complaint.

No one could deny how desperately they needed King Kong’s help.

One swing of its wing felled a giant tree in seconds, a task that would take them days to complete alone.

Still, Layla’s deal was undeniably lucrative.

King Kong was a native creature of the planet, requiring no effort from her at all.

But she’d profit off every group’s future hunts. It stung to think about.

Layla remained in no rush to pressure them.

She knew their hesitation stemmed from ignorance-they hadn’t yet witnessed just how deadly and dangerous the planet’s wilderness truly was.

“The terms are set. Anyone who agrees can come find me later. My King Kong works fast and gets the job done perfectly,” she said calmly.

Turning to leave with King Kong, she was stopped by a female participant’s voice.

“Can we add one more condition? Have King Kong cut the logs into smaller planks, too? Even if we fell the whole tree, we can’t use such massive trunks to build our cabins.”

Layla agreed without a moment’s hesitation, “Sure, that’s no problem at all.”

Delighted by her answer, the female called her group over and rolled forward an enormous egg-taller than Layla herself, with a thick, tough shell.

Could this be a dinosaur egg?

Layla wondered silently, eyeing it warily.

Noticing her doubt, the female hurried to explain, “We found two of these eggs total. I’m giving you this one as half of our trade payment. That’s more than generous, right?”

“Sounds good to me,” Layla nodded thoughtfully.
