Jason waved his hands hastily. “You rest up for now. I’ll go interview the other contestants.”

Watching him scurry away, Layla smirked with quiet mockery.

Shane stepped beside her, voice laced with worry. “If Stella really comes back, what if she tries to harm you again?”

Layla wore a calm, knowing expression. “I’d be more worried if she didn’t come after me.”

As Ciara had said, constant live broadcast coverage would follow her every move.

Stella could keep up an act for a little while, but never forever.

One slip of her true nature, and the audience would see right through her charade.

In the past, Stella had always been the one to provoke her first.

This time, Layla planned to take the initiative.

The shuttle touched down on Planet A13 soon after. Drawing in a deep breath, Layla,took in the familiar scenery of the planet, her mood light and relaxed.

She turned to Jason beside her. “Are we competing for housing again like last time?”

Jason scratched his nose awkwardly and cleared his throat. “This time, it will be assigned based on audience voting rankings from the show.”

A faint smirk tugged at Layla’s lips.

With her overwhelming popularity, she was guaranteed the best accommodation.

As expected, Layla claimed first place in the viewer polls.

Scanning the crowd, she noticed none of her old friends from earlier competition rounds were present.

She turned to Jason in confusion. “Where are the others like Yates?”

Jason slapped his forehead in realization. “They’ll be returning in three days, along with Stella.”

A soft smile appeared on Layla’s face.

She was genuinely looking forward to reuniting with her old friends.

Rolling up her sleeves, she glanced at the five males behind her.

“Let’s spend these three days preparing a welcome feast for everyone.”

All five nodded in agreement without hesitation.

Night had already fallen by the time they settled on Planet A13.

With no urgent tasks left for the day, everyone headed to their newly assigned wooden cabin to rest.

The cabin had five private bedrooms-meaning only one person could share Layla’s bed for the night, with the rest sleeping alone in separate rooms.

Before anyone else could react, George and Oliver locked glances of rivalry, stepping toward Layla at the exact same time.

“Let’s sleep together tonight?” they said.

Smiling at their synchronized request, Layla shook her head gently, “I’m sharing a room with Shane tonight.”

Hurt expressions crossed both George and Oliver’s faces instantly.

“Why not me? Don’t you like me anymore?” George whined, sidling up to her with a pitiful pout.

Layla patted his cheek lightly. “You’re the most restless sleeper of all. Give me a break-I’d like a full nights rest for once.”

George rubbed his nose awkwardly, clearly guilty.

I only toss and turn a little in my sleep; it isn’t that bad, and Layla is being overly harsh.

Oliver stepped forward next, staring at her pleadingly. “You’ve never shared a bed with me. Why turn me down without even trying?”

Arms folded, Layla replied firmly, “I agreed to let you join our group-that doesn’t mean I’ve agreed to be with you.”

Oliver’s smile stiffened completely at her blunt rejection.

George doubled over laughing beside him. “Served you right! Layla, you’re the best.”

He lunged forward to hug her, but Layla dodged nimbly out of the way. “Watch the cameras. Some things aren’t suitable for live broadcast.”

A faint blush tinted George’s cheeks, and he winked playfully at her. “Does that mean it’s fine off-camera?”

Everyone present was stunned by his bold train of thought.

Liam stepped forward expressionlessly, tapping him lightly on the head. “You’ve lost your mind, spouting nonsense for the stream. Go unpack your things at once.”

Reluctantly, George let Liam drag him away.

Shane gave Layla’s hand a soft tug. “I’ll go tidy up our room.”

Joy bubbled quietly in his heart at her immediate choice to spend the first night with him alone.
