Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 300

Chapter 300 Preparing

She was ready to host a wonderful welcome feast.

Rubbing her chin, Layla turned to George. “Head out tomorrow and catch plenty of fresh fish

She then looked toward Liam. “Gather a good selection of fresh vegetables too.”

Next, her gaze fell on Shane. “I need to craft a few new cooking pots. Could you help me with that?”

Shane nodded obediently. “I’ll do anything you ask of me, Layla.”

Layla’s heart softened at his earnest reply.

Not wanting to be outdone, Oliver cut in quickly. “I can help, too, Layla. Just tell me what to do.”

He looked eager and expectant, like a loyal puppy waiting for its master’s command.

A flicker of hesitation crossed Layla’s gaze as she studied him.

She asked honestly, “Prince Oliver… what exactly are you good at?”

Oliver opened his mouth to answer, only to freeze mid-word.

He couldn’t cook to save his life.

His hunting skills paled in comparison to Carson’s.

Even fishing was out of the question-he was a weak swimmer at best.

After a moment of helpless thought, Oliver’s shoulders slumped in defeat.

He mumbled dejectedly, “I guess I’m not good at anything at all.”

Layla’s heart ached a little at his downcast expression.

Oliver had an aloof, untouchable aura about him, yet he always wore such pitiful, wronged expressions that no one could resist.

His cold-face soft-guy charm was impossible to turn down.

Glancing outside the cabin, Layla spoke, “You can tidy up the yard for me. Pull all the weeds and water the young vegetable sprouts.”

The task was simple enough, even for someone like Oliver who’d never done manual labor a day in his life

Eyes lighting up instantly at being given a clear job, Oliver nodded solemnly. “Leave it to me, Layla. I’ll get it done perfectly.”

Layla didn’t hold high hopes for his work-she only asked that he not make a mess.

Early the next morning, everyone set off to tend to their assigned tasks.

First to depart was Shane, tasked with sourcing suitable clay for crafting pots.

Next. George headed out alongside Liam to hunt and fish, while Carson briefly tidied the cabin before leaving on his own hunting expedition.

Craving richer flavors for her home-cooked meals, Layla specifically desired fresh poultry meat over standard game.

Eventually, only she and Oliver remained within the wooden walls.

Oliver hurried through his yard work, eager to steal a moment alone with her once he finished.

He patted himself on the back inwardly, proud of his quick thinking.

Layla sorted through all their stored supplies inside the cabin, then set about preparing breakfast.

Taking fresh eggs from the basket, she cracked six open with practiced ease, frying them in a pan until golden on both sides before setting them aside.

Next, she sautéed prepared herbs and seasonings with minced meat until fragrant, then returned the fried eggs to the pan to simmer and soak up all the rich flavors.

A plate of herb-infused fried eggs was soon ready, filling the air with a tempting aroma.

She then chopped fresh greens and stir-fried them simply with light seasoning, plating a crisp vegetable side dish in no time.

After that, she placed chunks of pre-marinated meat into a pot to simmer over low heat.

It was a simplified version of her usual braised meat recipe-less elaborate in preparation but still far tastier than plain game cooking.

With five grown men to feed in the house, even the slimmer-built George and Shane ate twice Layla’s portion size.

She cooked a large pot of staple grain, then quickly grilled a fresh fish to round out the meal.

The table soon filled with an array of dishes, the whole cabin wrapped in mouthwatering fragrance.

By the time Layla finished cooking, Oliver was still bent over yanking weeds in the yard, on the verge of frustration.

How could there be so many weeds?

He’d looked forward to spending quiet time alone with Layla, yet here he was stuck doing tedious labor

Born into royal luxury, he’d never endured such grueling work before, and impatience slowly crept over

him.

Suddenly, Layla walked over and bent down beside him.
