Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 311

Chapter 311 The Honest Drunk

Of the whole group, Shane had certainly drunk the most.

A flush colored his cheeks as he slumped against the table, mumbling incoherently.

Worried he might slip to the floor, Layla hurried over and helped him sit upright.

Under the moonlight, Shane squinted, trying to focus on the figure before him. “Layla? If you’re not Layla, don’t touch me.”

Hearing this flicker of self-preservation from the usually reserved man, Layla couldn’t help but chuckle

She reached out and gently pinched the tip of his nose. “It’s me. You’re wasted. Let’s get you to bed.”

The moment he recognized her voice, Shane’s defenses crumbled. He went limp, leaning his full weight against her.

A soft hiccup escaped him, laced with a whine. “You were talking to everyone else… Didn’t come over once

Layla thought back. He had glanced her way a few times earlier. But she’d been surrounded, so she only smiled at him before going back to her conversation.

She hadn’t realized he’d taken it to heart.

A mix of fondness and guilt stirred within her. Without another word, she shifted her grip and scooped him up into her arms.

Shane let out a startled gasp, his arms instinctively looping around her neck.

His glassy eyes, clouded with drink and something vulnerable, peered up at her. A pout formed on his lips. “You’re not going back to them?”

“Just you. My little drunkard,” Layla said, her tone a blend of exasperation and tenderness.

That seemed to please him. A silly, unguarded smile broke through his typically cool expression.

Shane buried his face in the crook of her neck, nuzzling firmly. “Stay with me tonight? Only me?”

Layla’s heart skipped a beat.

She looked down, finding his gaze fixed on her, full of silent hope.

The sight tugged at her. “Okay, tonight, it’s just you and me,” she promised without hesitation.

She understood, of course. Shane always put her happiness first.

While jealousy surely gnawed at him when she spent time with the others, he kept it tightly locked away.

Unlike Oliver or George, who wore their rivalry on their sleeves, or Carson, who often held himself back, feeling he had no right, Shane simply internalized it all.

If one truly loved another, how could they not envy the other people around her?

Chapter 311 The Honest Drunk

His quiet sacrifices were made solely for her sake.

Quickening her pace, Layla carried him to his room and laid him on the bed.

She turned, intending to fetch some water to help him sleep easier.

A hand shot out, fingers wrapping around her wrist with surprising strength.

With a soft thump, Shane pulled her down, tumbling them both onto the mattress.

Layla tried to shift, but his arms only tightened around her, a silent plea in their grip.

“Don’t go,” he murmured, voice thick with a vulnerability that made her pause.

She relaxed into the embrace, wrapping her own arms around him. “I’m not leaving. I was just getting you

some water.”

“Don’t want water. Just stay with me,” he insisted, a touch of uncharacteristic petulance in his tone.

This new, willful side of him was a first for Layla.

She found it oddly endearing, which only deepened her pang of guilt.

He was always so quiet, so self-contained.

Even his occasional flashes of jealousy were muted compared to the others.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

She thought wryly. She’d been paying more attention to George and others lately, nearly overlooking Shane’s steady presence.

Her hand came up to gently stroke his cheek.

Shane leaned into the touch, his eyes teary and pleading, a picture of pure, heartbreaking need.

Layla’s resolve melted completely.

She drew his head against her chest. “Shhh, sleep now. The show starts properly tomorrow. We’ll need our

rest.”

The sound of her voice, the steady beat of her heart beneath his ear-it was all Shane needed.

His eyelids grew heavy, fluttered, and finally closed as he drifted into a deep, secure sleep.
