Chapter 327 How to Handle the Thunder Pterosaur

George cleared his throat and stepped forward. “Uh, how about we go over the specifics one more time?”

The jealousy in the air was thick. Layla and Shane exchanged a knowing smile, then turned back to the group to keep planning how to handle the Thunder Pterosaur.

A rough outline was fine, but they needed every detail nailed down. One wrong move, and that creature had enough power to wipe out the entire camp on Planet A13.

“If things really go south, find the production team and Emily. They’ll figure something out,” Layla added.

Going to them would expose the Starcore Ore mine, but protecting everyone came first for Layla.

Right then, Yates shuffled out of his room, rubbing his eyes. He looked half asleep and mumbled, “What’s everyone standing around for? When’s dinner?”

Seeing that adorable, clueless face, Layla burst out laughing, and the tension in the room eased a bit.

Yates grinned goofily right along with her.

The other five guys exchanged looks.

Oliver sidled up to George with a smirk and asked, “What’s the matter? Not jealous of this pika?”

George rolled his eyes hard. He knew exactly what Oliver was doing-trying to use him as a pawn.

He crossed his arms and said flatly, “I know Layla only sees Yates as a little brother. You’re the real schemer here.” He turned and walked off.

Oliver watched him go and let out a cold snort.

Layla watched them and sighed, pressing a hand to her forehead.

These two can’t go a single day without bickering, can they?

She patted Yates on the head and asked what he wanted to eat.

His eyes lit up, but then he ducked his head shyly and said, “Whatever you make is fine.”

In his mind, he was still the outsider in this little family, and he hadn’t pulled his weight with kisw to Handle the Thunder Pterosaur

hunting. Demanding a specific meal would be way too shameless.

Layla saw right through him. She tapped his nose and headed into the kitchen. Soon, she came back with a vegetable pancake and a bowl of vegetable soup.

Yates swallowed hard and asked, “Layla, did you only make this for me?”

“We’re not hungry yet,” she said. “You go ahead.”

The others were still laser-focused on the Starcore Ore mine, not to mention the unresolved business with that interstellar fugitive. No matter how good Layla’s cooking smelled, they couldn’t stomach a bite right now.
