Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 330

Thea Stanton sat in the driver's seat, starting the engine as her passenger slid in.

"How did it go?"

"Everything went smoothly," Sienna Sloan replied.

Thea nodded. "The lead on the dump truck is completely dead. It's been an entire night; whatever evidence there was has definitely been destroyed. We'll have to find another way."

Sienna had already anticipated this outcome.

Grandpa was the only card she had left. He was her trump card, and absolutely nothing could go wrong now.

Thea grabbed a folder from the backseat and handed it over. "Everything you asked for is in here. Do you need me to go with you?"

"No need."

Sienna flipped open the folder, skimming the pages rapidly and searing the core details into her memory.

She snapped the file shut and handed it back to Thea.

"Proceed with the original plan. You handle your legal angle, and I'll take care of the rest of the private matters myself."

"Understood." Thea always trusted her judgment and gave a slight nod. "Keep in touch. Let me know the moment anything happens."

Thea dropped Sienna off at the hospital and drove away.

Watching the car disappear, Sienna dialed the number for Grandpa's two personal bodyguards.

"Pick me up at the hospital. I need you to accompany me somewhere."

The two men respectfully acknowledged the order without a single unnecessary question.

After hanging up, Sienna asked Jonathan Coleman for some time off.

By the time she made it downstairs, two towering bodyguards were already standing on either side of a White Bentley Continental, waiting for her.

Unlike ordinary, flashy security guards, these men had been personally trained by Grandpa.

Whether it was their combat skills or their discretion, Sienna was deeply satisfied with them.

Seeing her approach at a measured pace, the two men immediately bowed, their attitude utterly deferential. "Ms. Sloan."

Sienna gave a curt nod. Skipping the pleasantries, she ducked into the backseat.

The driver softly asked for instructions. "Ms. Sloan, your destination?"

Sienna gave him an address, then leaned back into the plush leather, closing her eyes to rest.
