Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 350

Jarred Sterling stood by the door, one hand casually tucked into his pocket, his tall frame rigid and imposing.

His dark eyes were as still as a frozen lake—no questions, no visible ripples of emotion.

Yet, it felt as though he had already seen through every secret, catching every subtle movement Sienna Sloan made.

Sienna's gaze lingered on his face for barely a second before she casually looked away.

She walked calmly to her desk, showing zero signs of guilt or evasion.

Jarred’s heavy gaze swept over her, taking her in from head to toe.

When he confirmed she was completely unharmed without a single scratch, his frown only deepened.

He stepped forward, his deep voice laced with a chilling authority.

"Did you know Celeste got arrested?"

Sienna was pulling out her chair, and she paused at his words.

Then she looked up, a perfectly measured look of surprise on her face.

"Has karma finally caught up to her?"

The corners of her lips curled up slightly. Her smile wasn't gloating, just indifferent. "I told you the truth would come out eventually. Karma never misses."

Jarred stared at her nonchalant demeanor, the darkness in his eyes thickening.

"Did you arrange the witness to testify against her?" He stared directly into her eyes, refusing to miss a single micro-expression.

Sienna tilted her head, her innocent expression flawless.

She spread her hands, completely relaxed. "Captain Sterling, I'm just a simple therapist. How would I have that kind of power? Besides..."

She paused, meeting his gaze openly. "I've been right under your nose this whole time. Did you see me order anyone around?"

Her demeanor was so open and calm that he couldn't find a single flaw.

But the more perfect she acted, the colder Jarred felt.

Jarred said nothing.
