Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 412

The three influencers exchanged nervous glances, not daring to make a run for it.

There were still hundreds of thousands of people watching the live broadcast.

Sienna stepped in front of the camera. The water stains on her clothes were still damp, and her hair was slightly disheveled, but there was not a trace of panic on her face.

“Forgive me if I cannot find empathy for someone trying to destroy my reputation and ruin my career.

If you want to treat her as your personal responsibility, that is your business. Leave me out of it, and don't ever expect me to show mercy.”

As Sienna delivered that last sentence, her gaze was fixed squarely on Jarred.

Her exquisite features were etched with fierce independence, and the icy glare radiating from her eyes caused Jarred's heart to clench involuntarily.

“Jarred, there are less than ten days left in our mandatory divorce cooling-off period. I hope for the rest of my life... I never have to cross paths with a scumbag like you ever again.”

Without another word, Sienna spun on her heel, cutting through the crowd and walking right out of the lobby.

Her proud figure never once looked back, leaving a wake of stunned and awestruck gazes behind her.

Jarred stood frozen in place, watching her silhouette disappear through the glass doors.

He wanted to chase after her, but the moment he shifted his weight, he was stopped.

Daisy tugged on his sleeve from behind. “Jarred... I feel dizzy...” she murmured.

Jarred glanced down at the girl practically slumped on the floor, and by the time he looked back up, Sienna was long gone.

A profound darkness instantly swallowed his gaze.

After handling the fallout at the hospital, Sienna headed straight to Thea Stanton's law firm.

Luna Lennox was already there.

Seeing Sienna walk in, Luna stood up and, without a word, pulled her into a tight hug.

“Jarred is such a bastard,” Luna muttered, her voice muffled against Sienna's shoulder. “I flooded the chat cursing him out! Even if it doesn't hurt him physically, his ears will be burning all night.”

Sienna patted her back in silence.
