"Just more pathetic, forged trash." Sienna closed her eyes briefly.
"She's trying to tie me up so I stop digging, which only proves we're heading in the right direction.
If we don't deal with the Daisy problem, she's going to keep coming back."
Thea frowned slightly. "I smoothed things over at the hospital. Daisy has already moved Albert back to a regular ward.
Even for a synthetic recording, they'd need a baseline voice sample of Albert first.
I ran background checks on all the nurses and staff handling him, and none of them look suspicious.
The only red flag happened this morning. Daisy demanded to see him, and when the staff told her visiting hours were over, she threw a tantrum at the door and left.
But later this afternoon, a random guy showed up at the hospital.
He didn't enter any rooms or talk to the doctors. He just hung out at the nurses' station for a few minutes."
Pulling out her phone, Thea played a video for them.
Sienna leaned in. It was hallway security footage.
The stranger was dressed in head-to-toe black, wearing a cap and mask.
While he was distracting the desk nurse, Albert's primary care nurse happened to walk out of his room.
Just as she passed by, the man abruptly turned to leave.
On camera, the two deliberately collided.
But when Thea paused and zoomed in, it was clear the man had slipped something out of the nurse's pocket.
The resolution was too grainy to make out his face.
Sienna demanded immediately, "Did you track where he went?"
Thea nodded, then shook her head. "I had someone pull all the hospital cameras. We only caught him getting into the elevator, and then the trail went dead.
