Daisy had always naively believed that because she repeatedly targeted Sienna and constantly stirred up trouble—and Jarred had never truly leveled severe punishments against her.
Because he still allowed her to rest and recover, protecting her future.
She thought it meant she held a place in his heart. That he favored her and couldn't bear to let her go.
She assumed that as long as she threw enough tantrums and played the fragile victim, she could slowly usurp Sienna's position.
But Jarred's cold, merciless attitude in this very moment slapped her violently out of her twisted, delusional romance and dragged her back to brutal reality.
She finally saw the absolute truth.
From the very beginning, there had never been a shred of favoritism or special treatment.
All of his tolerance was solely out of respect for her deceased mother. Nothing more.
In Jarred's eyes, she had always been insignificant, cheap, and utterly worthless.
She didn't even qualify for his genuine indulgence.
"I won't pay it back! I refuse... Jarred, you can't do this to me!"
Daisy wailed at the top of her lungs. Dragging her injured body, she tried to lunge forward and grab him.
Her posture was pathetic and desperate, practically begging for mercy.
But Jarred's eyes held only apathy, completely blind to her hysterical crying.
"Before I got here, I thought you were just spending a little money. But now, you're beyond saving!"
He was thoroughly sick of her endless drama and disgusted by her boundless, entitled greed.
Jarred didn't spare her a second glance, turning on his heel and walking straight out of the room.
Collapsed on the floor, Daisy stared at his retreating back, weeping uncontrollably.
She didn't understand what Jarred's final sentence meant.
But she knew with agonizing clarity that this time, he was truly washing his hands of her.
Realizing this, Daisy cried so hard she nearly passed out.
Outside the door, Declan, who had been waiting on standby, immediately stepped forward when Jarred emerged.
