The living room was silent for a few seconds as palpable shock flashed across everyone's eyes.
No one could believe it.
The legendary top-tier master, rumored to dictate authenticity with a single glance and crush countless veteran appraisers, was actually such a young woman.
But she carried Quentin Pierce's token of trust.
Helena was the first to snap out of it. Forcing down her panic, she gestured to the several boxes of jewelry placed before them.
"Master Lyra, please help me inspect these. This batch represents my lifetime collection of rare pieces. I beg you to examine them carefully."
As soon as she finished speaking, Helena noticed something was wrong.
There should have been more than just these few boxes, and it was obvious that one of these boxes belonged to Celeste.
She immediately glared at her subordinates. "Are you sure this is everything? There should be more!"
The subordinate replied, "The store clerk said some pieces were rented out. Since Mr. Devereux wasn't there, we had no choice but to bring these back first."
Glancing nervously at Helena, he added, "Everything that was in the store is right here."
Helena didn't have the energy to worry about the rest right now.
She ordered the maids to serve tea while inviting the master to sit, simultaneously having the staff display the jewelry.
Lyra's gaze landed on the rows of jewelry boxes.
She didn't rush closer; instead, she casually swept her eyes over them before slowly taking a seat.
She placed her tool kit on the coffee table and opened it, retrieving her instruments.
After slipping on her gloves, she picked up an emerald necklace nearby, holding it under the desk lamp to examine it meticulously.
Everyone in the living room held their breath.
Helena gripped the hem of her clothes, her knuckles turning white.
Celeste sat in her wheelchair, her hands clasped tightly over her knees, wearing an expression of forced calm masking deep anxiety.
Lyra observed it for about three minutes.
