Michael's words turned Winnie's face bright red. She buried her face and gave his chest a light punch. "It's broad daylight... Can you be serious for once?"
"You're the one who said I could punish you. You agreed... so no take-backs."
"I..." Winnie's voice grew even quieter with embarrassment, and she leaned close to his ear as well. "I wasn't going to take it back."
Michael's lips curved, and his voice dropped low. "Looks like I'll be making up for getting my hopes up very soon."
"Then make up for it. I'll make it up to you... lots and lots."
Winnie whispered it, her eyes crinkling, and gently kissed his Adam's apple.
…
Morning light spilled quietly into the corners of the room. Its warmth wound together with the early winter that had crept in, spreading without a sound.
...
Three days later, a simple funeral for Noah was held at a cemetery in Goldmont City.
Charlotte laid his ashes to rest with her own hands. After seeing everyone off, she stayed there alone until late at night.
As the night grew colder, she still sat quietly against the headstone, just as she used to lean against Noah, feeling safe and at peace.
"Don't fall asleep here. Let's go home."
A soft voice suddenly startled Charlotte.
She opened her eyes to find light in front of her. A beam of headlights slanted toward her, and walking toward her through the glare was Khloe.
"Khloe, how did you..." Charlotte murmured, but before she could finish, the bodyguards with Khloe hurried over and helped her up.
Khloe was on bed rest for her pregnancy, and with everything going on with Nick, she was already struggling. Everyone had agreed not to tell her about Noah for the time being.
"Noah is gone. I should come and see him off."
Khloe spoke in a low voice. She took Charlotte's hand and wrapped a thick shawl around her.
In the dim light, they couldn't see each other's faces clearly, but even though Charlotte wasn't crying, Khloe could clearly feel her sorrow and helplessness.
Sometimes the saddest things were the ones that couldn't be put into words.
Charlotte's eyes reddened. She hadn't cried all day, but somehow, the sight of Khloe opened the floodgates.

The readers' comments on the novel: Billionaire's Match (by Tangy Candy)
Angela is a cho-mo... How do you fall hopelessly in love with a fourteen year old boy? How do you see a man in a boy?...
Will more chapters be downloaded? It’s been awhile and I’m still seeing chapter 1175....
When will chapter 1044 and more bd downloaded?...
This is the story that I like reading. The heroine got the hold of the situation right away. No humiliation, no injustice, which keep the readers feeling bad all the way while waiting for the right thing to settle in favor of the heroine. Good storyline, congrats writer!...
