Blizzard, First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 282

The announcement was cut short by several loud bangs.

Gunshots.

The crowded ballroom erupted into chaos as guests panicked and scrambled for cover.

Yet amidst the turmoil, one figure stood out, impossible to miss.

When Julian’s hand tightened around hers, she knew it was Adrian.

“Mr. Blackwell,” Julian said with a slight smile. “You’re a little late.”

Adrian walked forward, step by step, until he stood right in front of Isabel.

In a flash, Julian blocked his hand, pulling Isabel behind him protectively.

“Mr. Blackwell, this is my bride. It wouldn’t be appropriate for you to touch her. If you’re truly here to celebrate, you can have a few extra drinks later.”

As he finished speaking, the cold, hard press of a gun barrel met his forehead. Yet, Julian remained unfazed. “Mr. Blackwell, are you so taken with my traditional wedding, that you’d like to see a splash of blood to liven things up?”

The click of the hammer being pulled back echoed in the tense silence.

Isabel squeezed Julian’s hand tightly.

Even in this situation, Julian found the presence of mind to gently squeeze her palm in reassurance.

“If you want to see blood, Mr. Blackwell, you’d better be quick about it. It would be a shame to miss the auspicious time for my vows.”

Adrian’s entire being radiated an icy chill. His expression was grim, his dark eyes brewing a storm.

“Miss it then. She was never supposed to marry you in the first place.”

Julian’s lips curved, but his usually charming eyes were filled with a rare, chilling coldness. “Mr. Blackwell, you seem to be overstepping. Since when do you have a say in who I marry?”

Adrian retorted, “Marry anyone else you want. But you’re marrying my wife, so of course, I have a say.”

Muttered gasps and whispers erupted from the remaining guests, a mix of languages discussing the shocking turn of events.

The Durantin family’s security team was already in position.

Dark gun barrels were aimed at Adrian and the men he had brought with him.

The only problem was, they couldn’t engage with members of the Grey Zone.

“Quite a party, isn’t it?” A burly man in a military uniform strode in. “Am I late?”
