A week later, news came from both Amanda and Evelyn.
The trial results showed no issues.
So Isabel returned to Westbridge, making no effort to hide her arrival.
When she stepped off the plane, old Mr. Foster was there to pick her up.
She introduced her son to him. "This is Edmund, Julian's and my son."
Old Mr. Foster and old Mr. Reed were good friends, so he naturally knew who Julian was.
She patted Edmund's shoulder. "Say hello to Grandpa Foster. He's a very good friend of your great-grandfather."
Edmund said obediently, "Hello, Grandpa Foster."
"Hello there."
Old Mr. Foster didn't seem surprised and ushered them into the car.
Westbridge had grown cold. The sky was gray and overcast; it looked like it was going to snow.
Once they were in the car, she introduced Evelyn. "This is my good friend, Evelyn. Her husband is Mr. Richard, the one who invested in X-1."
Old Mr. Foster nodded. "A pleasure."
Evelyn replied politely, "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Foster."
They went straight to the press conference venue.
This time, although old Mr. Foster was endorsing the event, he wasn't the organizer.
As a result, the scale was much grander than anything he had arranged before.
It was being held at the Carter family's hotel, in their largest ballroom.
Amanda had returned earlier and had been waiting for the trial data with Andrew.
She was already at the hotel entrance to greet them.
