Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 309

Adrian said, “I’ve made it very clear. you only have two choices.”

He held her tightly and looked at the assembled Blackwells. “All of you, leave my house. After I’ve dealt with my family matters, I’ll deal with yours.”

His gaze landed on Catherine’s face. “Especially your matter, sister.”

Staying here was pointless. Adrian wasn’t someone who could be swayed by a few words. But Catherine still said, “Selena is in Kate Caldwell’s hands. You can’t get her out. Give up. You can’t let your feelings for her bring down the entire Blackwell family.”

Adrian said nothing, but his intention to make them leave was clear.

Mr. Blackwell helped his mother up, but she pushed his hand away. “You all go, I’m not leaving. I’ll go when they’re divorced.”

“It’s no use staying here,” Mr. Blackwell said, exasperated. “City Hall is already closed for the day.”

“So what if they’re closed? Can’t they work overtime? How long does it take to process some papers? I’ll give them a bonus.”

“You really know how to throw your money around,” Mr. Blackwell said. He couldn’t force her to leave, so he turned to Adrian. “Marriage isn’t about right and wrong, Adrian. You can’t be so petty. You definitely hurt Isabel for Selena’s sake. Since she wants a divorce, just give it to her. Don’t make your grandmother worry. She’s eighty years old.”

Adrian simply replied, “This was her choice, and these are the consequences she must bear.”

In short, since she was the one who insisted on getting married, she had to accept everything he did. He wasn't going to be on her side; that was something she knew when they got married. The length of their marriage wouldn’t change that.

That was just Adrian’s personality.

The Blackwells were used to it. They couldn't persuade him.

But his grip didn't weaken in the slightest.

“If you have something to say, just say it…” Mrs. Blackwell couldn’t watch anymore and tried to intervene. She was held back by Alexander, who shook his head. This was something they couldn't interfere with. Just like when they got married—if Adrian had truly refused, old Mrs. Blackwell couldn’t have forced him. It was the same now.

“Mom, Dad, Grandma, let’s go.”

He and Mr. Blackwell then helped old Mrs. Blackwell up and led her away. Despite her age, she was no match for two tall, strong men. No matter how much she protested, she was put into the car.

She finally resorted to threats. “If you take me back, I’ll go on a hunger strike.”

“Grandma,” Alexander said as he fastened her seatbelt, “haven’t you realized? Adrian doesn’t want a divorce.”
