Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 337

In the morning, Adrian got up to take a call and had someone deliver breakfast.

When he returned to the room, he saw what she was doing.

“You have the medicine,” he said.

The medication Isabel was using was meant to stop Julian’s bleeding.

She often carried some common remedies with her.

In the past, she used to prepare even more for Oliver.

Lately, it was mostly emergency medication for friends like Julian, Edmund, and Evelyn, or for herself.

She felt no need to explain this to him.

“You have twenty-four hours. If you don’t agree to the divorce, I’ll do exactly what I said.”

Adrian offered her a spoon, but she didn’t take it. He picked up the bowl, stirred the porridge, and brought it to her lips.

“I remember you like this kind.”

Isabel ignored him.

Just then, the door to the room opened.

Julian entered first, followed by several other people.

“Well, look at you, having a nice meal.”

He squeezed past Adrian and sat down next to Isabel, shooting a disdainful look at Oliver. “You reap what you sow. He deserves no sympathy.”

Adrian glared at him coldly. “That suits you perfectly. You won’t always be lucky enough to escape. The evil you’ve done will come back to haunt you. You can’t even give her a stable life.”

Julian laughed. “Is that a line you can really deliver, Mr. Blackwell? Confidence is one thing, but don’t be so full of yourself. It’s obnoxious, you know?”

He ignored whatever else Adrian might say and turned to Isabel. “Are you ready to go?”

Isabel prepared to put Oliver down. The boy was in a semi-conscious state, but his eyes suddenly flew open. He started crying, begging her not to leave, clinging to her.

But his grip wasn't as strong as yesterday, partly because the hemostatic medicine also contained a mild anesthetic to numb the pain.

She was able to place him on the hospital bed easily.

Isabel tugged on Julian’s sleeve. “Let’s go back to our room first.”

She wasn’t in a hurry.

Someone else would be.

Edmund followed obediently, though he did cast another glance at Oliver.

Evelyn and the others followed them back to Julian’s room.

“What’s going on?” Evelyn couldn’t help but ask. She hadn’t seen Isabel in Julian’s room when she arrived that morning and had assumed she’d gone to buy breakfast. Then Miles told her what had happened the night before. He had gone to sleep, but Julian had called him back up after Isabel left with Adrian.

“That’s basically it.”

Evelyn looked at Isabel. “What are you thinking?”

Isabel replied, “He just doesn’t want me as his mother, but he hasn’t done anything wrong. Of course I’m going to save him, but the divorce has to happen too. I know what I’m doing.”

Evelyn nodded. “Okay, then.”

She pulled Isabel down to sit. “I bought you some porridge, but I doubt the stuff in Westbridge is as good as what we had back home.”
