Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 345

Now that Oliver’s situation was resolved, there was no point in dwelling on it.

Isabel hugged him. “You and Miles need to go back to the Ashford family in the Fiorhaven Principality for a while.”

His status was sensitive; it wasn’t safe for him to stay in Westbridge. If Adrian truly went off the deep end, he would act recklessly. He might want to create chaos, but she had no intention of playing along.

“Mommy, are you sending me away?”

“No,” Isabel said, letting him go. “Admiral Hawke can’t protect you here. Neither can your grandmother. Their authority has limits.”

Miles understood and grabbed Edmund by the collar. “Listen to your mommy. She wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. Besides, your dad and your grandma are both here. Everything will be fine.”

Julian also spoke up. “Go back for now.”

With that, Edmund left with Miles. Julian had Kate Caldwell’s men follow them to ensure they made it onto the plane.

“What’s going on?” Evelyn asked, pulling Isabel aside after Miles and Edmund had left.

“It’s nothing,” Isabel said. “Just a precaution.”

Evelyn sighed. “Getting a divorce is so hard. No wonder people don’t want to get married these days.”

Isabel, however, thought of something and mentioned it to Julian.

Julian nodded. “I’ll call my mother.” He immediately picked up his phone.

Soon after, the lawyer arranged by Kate Caldwell arrived.

“I’d like to know if there’s any way to get a divorce that bypasses the waiting period?”

From what he had seen recently, she wasn’t that busy. She managed to balance having another child with her very well.

As for taking care of him… he was a bit of a neat freak, but it wasn’t as if she was the only one who could manage things. It was just that for the past six years, she had taken on those tasks, and he had found it more comfortable to have his wife do them than to hire outsiders.

But that was it. He had never told her she needed to give up her career. This, at least, couldn’t be blamed on him.

“Mr. Blackwell…” Dr. Lawson finished his excited speech, but Adrian was lost in thought and didn’t respond.

Of course, he hadn’t expected a response from the man anyway. He took the initiative to say, “If there’s nothing else here, I’ll get back to my work.”

Adrian waved him away, and Dr. Lawson left.

After a moment of thought, Adrian headed for Julian’s room.
