Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 376

“Don’t say that to me.”

“Well, we were just about to get something to eat. You should come with us, Amanda. My treat, as an apology.”

Only then did Amanda notice Oliver. “Together?”

Isabel nodded. “With my son. You don’t mind, do you?”

Amanda had no reason to mind. As long as Isabel didn’t, it was her son, and she could do as she pleased. As an outsider, Amanda couldn’t interfere too much.

“Then get in. I drove.”

Isabel saw the child safety seat in the back and had Oliver sit in it.

Oliver was very obedient. When Isabel went to buckle his seatbelt, he took it himself. “I can do it, Mom.”

Seeing that he had indeed buckled it correctly, Isabel closed the door and got into the passenger seat.

“What are you in the mood for, Amanda?”

“I’m good with anything. It depends on what he can eat.”

Oliver quickly tried to be agreeable. “I’m good with anything, too.”

“Anything?” Isabel scoffed, opening an app on her phone. “You’re the one with the longest list of things you can’t eat.”

Oliver was actually quite happy. He used to hate it when his mother scolded him, but now, the words were a comfort.

“Whatever Mom says.”

Amanda started the car, a small smile playing on her lips.

He was suddenly so well-behaved.

Isabel scrolled through her phone. “Let’s get hot pot.”

She hadn’t had it in a long time.

Amanda had no objections and drove to the biggest hot pot restaurant in the area.

Isabel ordered a split pot. Amanda leaned in beside her to look at the menu as she ordered.

Aside from what they liked, the rest of the order was based on what Oliver could eat.

She asked in a low voice, “With your son’s condition, did you ever think about developing a drug to boost his immune system?”

“He was on medication.”

Before their falling out, Isabel had been consistently giving Oliver medicine.

It improved his immunity. Some of his allergies were a stress response, almost like a gastrointestinal disorder, so they weren’t entirely untreatable.

“I heard you took on an apprentice.”

Isabel took a sip of her tea. “Not exactly. He’s a junior from our program. Edmund can’t be here, and with my right hand… I needed his help.”

Amanda had heard Adrian was in the hospital. “For Mr. Blackwell?”

Isabel nodded.

Amanda asked again, “So Edmund can never come back to Westbridge?”

“Not just him. Evelyn can’t either.”

“That Adrian…” Amanda was speechless. “I swear, are all men masochists?”

Before, when she gave him her heart and soul, he couldn’t have cared less.

He even hurt her for someone else. And now that she wants a divorce, he suddenly refuses.

“I’m sure your Andrew Parker isn’t like that.”

“He can be a real jerk sometimes, too.”

It just goes to show that every family has its own problems.
