Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 329

Just then, Willow Sheffield’s phone rang.

Willow glanced down and saw it was Ryan Chase calling.

He must have been worried when she hadn't replied to his messages for a while, so he decided to call.

She quickly answered, speaking in a rushed tone. "I'm in the middle of something right now. I'll call you back later."

Without waiting for a response, she hung up.

"Whose call was that?" Beasley Windsor asked.

"What's it to you?" Willow shot him an annoyed look.

Beasley was at a loss for words.

"I'm just trying to help," he said a moment later.

Willow ignored him, pretending he wasn't even there. Being in the same elevator with this man was suffocating. Fortunately, after a period of medication and therapy, she no longer felt nauseous so easily. Otherwise, she probably would have thrown up her entire stomach by now.

Sensing her disdain, Beasley grew frustrated. There was nothing more torturous than being so close to someone yet unable to touch or even speak to them.

Silence quickly filled the elevator. Beasley’s icy gaze rested on Willow's profile, greedily tracing every contour. Even if she ignored him, just being able to look at her like this was something. Gradually, the frustration in his heart began to dissipate. So this was what it felt like to fall for someone.

When would she ever look back at him again?

Willow felt the hairs on her arms stand up as his gaze grew more intense.

*Just bear with it a little longer. You have to find Dad.*

After all, when she had tracked her father to the hotel, she had seen him being helped out of the car by another man. The man was wearing a mask, obscuring his face. It was highly likely he was still in this suite.

Willow moved quickly and quietly. She only had to cross the living area to see the bedroom.

When she saw her fully clothed father lying motionless on the massive bed, her face turned pale. She rushed over, her heart racing.

First, she checked for his breath.

Thank God, his breathing was steady.

But she couldn't relax yet. She immediately took out her phone and called for an ambulance. She calculated the time; from around six in the evening to now, nearly midnight, her father had been unconscious for over five hours. She had to get him to a hospital for a full check-up before she could truly be at ease.

Outside the suite, Beasley faintly heard Willow calling for an ambulance and could no longer wait. He pushed the door open and walked in.
