A small, satisfied smile tugged at the corner of my lips.

But there was no time to celebrate. I picked up my office phone and dialed my legal team. “I want every remaining asset Mark holds, including the secret accounts he shared with Clara, frozen immediately,” I instructed.

“Yes, Luna,” one of the lawyers said. “We’ve been waiting for your go–ahead. It’s already being processed.”

I hung up and turned to my computer, checking that every alert and freeze had been logged correctly. Everything had to be airtight. Mark was cunning, and I couldn’t leave any gaps for him to exploit.

Daniel walked in quietly behind me. “You okay?” he asked. His voice carried that calm authority I trusted completely, the kind that made even the most volatile wolves pause.

“I’m fine,” I said, though my pulse was still racing from Clara’s outburst. “It’s just… we finally have them. Proof. Recorded confession. Everything is tied up.”

He leaned against my desk, one arm resting lightly. “Good work. That was precise.”

“I had to let her come to me,” I said. “She’s impulsive. Emotional. I knew she’d slip eventually.”

“Looks like she did,” Daniel said, his gaze softening when it flicked to me. “You stayed calm. That’s what matters. She gave it to you without a fight because you didn’t react.”

I nodded. “Exactly. She can’t control me, and she can’t manipulate me. Not anymore.”

Daniel’s hand brushed mine briefly. “And neither can Mark.”

I allowed a small nod of acknowledgment. That’s when I felt it–the weight of everything we were dismantling. Not just Clara, not just Mark, but the chaos they had sown through the pack. Now, step by step, we could reclaim control.

I grabbed my phone again. “Daniel, I’m going to make sure every Council member gets copies too. The Elders need to see the full picture. This isn’t just corporate–it’s rogue activity threatening the pack. They need to know we’re cleaning it up properly.”

He nodded. “I’ll back you. You don’t have to do it alone.”

I glanced at him, feeling that familiar warmth mixed with resolve. “I’m ready,” I said. “This is just the beginning. Once the accounts are frozen, Mark has nothing to work with. I stood. “What now?”

“That one.”

She hit play. The log showed files disappearing one by one.

“Wait,” I said. “Those are the private ledgers.”

“Yes. And offshore account details.”

My stomach dropped. “When did this happen?”

“Three hours ago.”

Daniel stepped behind me. “Why are these files still on the main server? I thought you isolated everything tied to Mark.”
