Riley didn’t bolt outside right away. Instead, she scaled the stone watchtower in a few swift, practiced moves.

Peering through the thick snowfall, she spotted the creature barreling toward her camp.

It was a Raging Snowfield Ape, standing close to ten feet tall.

Just like in the video she’d seen, its eyes glowed a vicious crimson. It moved on all fours, kicking up great plumes of snow with each strideand it was fast.

Spotted: Raging Snow Ape

Status: Chemically Induced (HP Depletion)

Threat Level: High

Chemically induced?

So it really was orchestrated.

Nightfall must have had some kind of item to lure monsterseven send them into a frenzy.

ROOOAR!!!

The ape locked onto Riley’s camp and let out an earsplitting roar. It scooped up a boulder and hurled it with terrifying force.

Boom!

The rock smashed against the stone wall, sending shards and debris flying.

The wall held, but a direct hit like that on a person would’ve turned them to pulp.

Riley narrowed her eyes. This thing was on a whole other level compared to the rats from the night before.

For your average survivor, running into a monster like this in broad daylight was a death sentence.

She pulled a bottle of HighGrade Nutrient Solution from her inventory and knocked it back. Her energy bar refilled instantly.

Rather than playing it safe behind the wall, she pushed the stone gate open and stepped out.

She needed to draw the fight away from her campno point letting her hardbuilt structures get torn apart.

Whoosh!

Riley darted forward.

Before the ape could fully react, she had already slid low beside it, her Storm Splitter Dual Axes gleaming with a cold blue light. She brought them down hard against the back of its knee.

Thwack!

A deep, boneexposing gash split open, blood spraying into the snow.

The ape shrieked in agony, spinning clumsily to swab at herbut Riley was already behind it, her axes whirling like a windmill.

Bloodthirst!

Every strike tore away chunks of muscle and fur, and with each hit, Riley herself fought harder, faster, sharper.

After five brutal minutes, the berserk apea creature that would’ve meant the end for most playerscollapsed heavily into the crimsonstained snow.

Killed Raging Snow Ape. +50 XP

Obtained: Raging Potion Residue x1

Riley picked up the lump from the ground, still faintly smoking with a purplish haze.

Definitely a potion,she muttered.

She stored the residue and hurried back inside, immediately messaging the other two.

SpicyBurger: @PineappleBeer @TartKing What’s your situation? Any attacks?

PineappleBeer: Just one. After I dealt with it, the rats seemed to realize I wasn’t easy prey. They haven’t come

back.

TartKing: Boss! Nothing over here! That InvincibleWarrior guy said he was gonna wipe the server, right? So how come I got skipped? Is he underestimating me?

PineappleBeer: Looks like they’re picking their targets. Some folks in the channel are reporting multiple waves.

TartKing: Targeting specific people? So it is them. Too bad they didn’t think I was worth the trouble!

SpicyBurger: Don’t get careless. These things aren’t weak.

TartKing: Got it!

Reading their replies, Riley quickly pieced it together.

Their strategy was clear: first, throw some heavy obstacles at the topranked survivors. Then, focus on the middle- tier playersthe ones ranked in the middle, who had decent supplies but weren’t exceptional fighters.

These people were the backbone of the survivor population. Scare them enough, take them out, and the rest

would lose morale and fall in line.

Then, Nightfall could use all the gathered resources to arm their own guild members fully, and finally swarm whoever was left at the top.

Right now, the regional channel was pure chaos.
