Chapter 109 InvincibleWarrior’s Ultimatum
A single night had changed everything.
Nearly five hundred more souls were claimed by the rat swarm.

The ones left behind–those without proper defenses, without decent weapons, or simply without that raw will to claw through another day–had been filtered out.
What remained were 442 survivors. They were the real deal now, the core that would represent their server in the coming Server Merge.
Morning light washed over the frozen plain. It carried no warmth yet, but the pale gold gave a faint, almost cruel, reminder of being alive.
Every one of those 442 had crawled out from under a mountain of corpses. The Server Channel, for a brief moment, felt almost human.
“I made it… God, I actually cried when the sun came up.”
“Is everyone okay? Those rats were something else. Thank god I listened and fortified my campfire.”
“Hey, SpicyBurger–the vest guy–you still there? That armor padding saved my life. Took a bite for me. I owe you one.”
“We lost a lot, but we’re still here. We can make it to the merge. Stay strong, people.”
A fragile sense of solidarity, the kind that only forms after shared trauma, was spreading. People checked in. Some even swapped tips.
That fragile peace was shattered in an instant.

“InvincibleWarrior: Or… die.”
The channel erupted.
“Are you out of your mind? Who pissed in your cereal this morning?”
“Nightfall? Big talk. Didn’t see you lifting a finger during the swarm. Now you’re shaking us down?” “80% of our stuff? Just rob us straight up–oh wait, you are.”
“Everyone, ignore this punk! There’s hundreds of us. You really think we’re scared of your little crew?”

These survivors had just stared death in the face. Their nerves were raw, their defiance high. They weren’t about to roll over. For a minute, the chat was pure fury, a storm of curses aimed at InvincibleWarrior and Nightfall.
Riley sat on her couch, sipping the milk Neeko had warmed for her, watching the chaos unfold on her screen. Her gaze slowly turned icy.
“This isn’t just trash talk.”
She knew how predators like this operated. They didn’t make a move unless they were holding all the cards.
Sure enough.
Faced with the server’s rage, InvincibleWarrior didn’t flinch. He replied with a string of laughing emojis.
“InvincibleWarrior: Hahaha! Unity? Give me a break.
“InvincibleWarrior: You still don’t get it, do you? You think last night’s swarm was the finale? That was just the system’s warm–up. What’s next… is Nightfall’s little ‘gift.‘
“InvincibleWarrior: Countdown starts now. 3… 2… 1…”
The message had barely landed.
“WildHunter: What the hell is that?!
“Wild Hunter: ‘Video attached‘ Someone help! It’s broad daylight! There’s a monster–it’s tearing my walls down!”
Riley opened the video immediately.
The clip showed the snow field in clear morning light. A massive, hulking white ape was hammering its fists into someone’s camp walls. Its eyes glowed an unsettling blood–red. Thick purple drool hung from its jaws. Veins bulged across its muscle–bound frame, pulsing with a frenzied, unnatural rage.
“BOOM.”
One punch. The wall–sturdy enough to hold off Ghouls–splintered inward, shattered.

The video cut off there, ending with the camper’s choked scream. Moments later, their profile icon faded to gray.
The chat went dead silent.
Daytime. That was supposed to be safe. Off–limits.
How was this thing out here in the open, hitting with that kind of raw power?
