“SpicyBurger: Enough talk. Meet me in the trade window. You put up the blueprints, I’ll put up the card. We check each other’s items.”
This was the moment everything hung on.
Once the trade window opened and the other party placed the blueprints inside, the system would lock in both users‘ IDs and the details of the items exchanged.
“Nightshade: Fine. Try anything funny, and I promise you’ll regret ever logging into this game.” (2
“Ding!”
“Player Nightshade has sent you a trade request.”
Riley’s fingers shook slightly.
The fish had bitten.
She hit Accept.
A semi–transparent trade interface materialized in front of her. On the left were her slots–still empty. On the right were the other player’s.
A second later, a soft glow filled the right–side panel.
Five blueprint scrolls, each radiating a faint blue light, lined up neatly in the trade window.
“Blueprint: Fine Crossbow (Rare)
“Blueprint: Magic–Resistant Leather Armor (Rare)
“Blueprint: Black–Iron Heavy Shield (Rare)”
Riley drew a sharp breath.
Damn, this guy was stacked.

How many camps had Nightshade raided to get these? Any one of those blueprints would start a bloodbath if it hit the open market, and here he was tossing them into the window like they were nothing.
But right now, Riley wasn’t focused on the tempting blueprints.
Her eyes were fixed on the golden username displayed at the top of the trade screen.

Nightshade’s cold message popped up. Inside the trade window, he had already clicked Lock Items. The five blueprints grayed out, waiting for Riley to place the Guild Card in her slot.
What Guild Card? She didn’t have one.
But she’d already gotten what she came for.
The ID was confirmed.

Coordinates weren’t shown, but with the ID card would work.
A faint smile touched Riley’s lips.
Casually, she dragged over “Strange Potion (Failed Batch/Laxative)” and placed it in her trade slot.
“Nightshade: ???
“Nightshade: Are you kidding me? What is this garbage?”
“SpicyBurger: Oops, my bad. Wrong item.”
Riley took her time replying.
“SpicyBurger: Actually, you know what? I’ve changed my mind. Not selling anymore.”
“Nightshade: You’re messing with me?”
Even through text, she could feel the fury radiating from the other side.
“SpicyBurger: What if I am? Gonna crawl through the fiber optic and punch me?
“SpicyBurger: Nice blueprints, by the way. Got a real good look. Thanks for showing off. Now beat it.”
“Click.”
She hit Cancel Trade.
Then, in one smooth move, she blocked him.
After it was done, she let out a slow breath. Satisfaction settled in her chest.
“Got him.”

But blocking Nightshade wasn’t the end. Riley knew she’d only poked a hole in the dam–the real flood was still coming.
She pulled up the Server Channel. The situation was worse than she’d thought.
“InvincibleWarrior: Deadline’s passed. Looks like some of you still don’t get it.”
“InvincibleWarrior added a video.”
In the attached clip, another Level 3 camp–once sturdy and fortified–was being torn apart by two enraged snow apes. The camp’s owner knelt helplessly in the snow before one of the creatures crushed his skull like a bug.
Shortly after, the snow apes also collapsed, their massive bodies spent
The brutal scene sent the channel into a panic.
“I’ll hand everything over! Just don’t kill me–I’m doing it now!”

I have left. Take it, just leave me alive.”
“This is hopeless… there’s no fighting back.”
“If someone doesn’t stop him, Region 8 will be nothing but his personal farm before the server merge even happens.”
