Riley rubbed her temples.

Well… as long as they were happy.

Riley looked at Ash’s flat stomach and gave a broad wave of her hand.

Clatter-

A mountain of items scavenged from the instance suddenly covered the coffee table.

Thunderfruit, fresh jerky, various herbs, TartKing’s sweets, and even bottles of Primal Brew.

Riley didn’t know what they liked, so she dumped it all out for them to choose.

“CHIRP!!!”

Seeing the feast, Ash immediately abandoned “Tom and Jerry,” fluttering his wings as he dove into the pile,* snatching a meat–floss cake and devouring it.

Riley gave his little butt a playful pat before turning to Neeko. “Go ahead and eat too; there are plenty of treats here you’ve never tried.”

Watching Neeko and Ash feast on the sofa, Riley finally felt the weight of her exhaustion lift.

She went to the bathroom for a hot shower, changed into a comfortable set of loungewear, and sank into, the soft sofa.

This was the life.

The firelight flickered, filling the cabin with a cozy warmth.

After spending some time cuddling the clingy Neeko, Riley finally had a moment to pull up the system and check her rewards.

Not bad; getting two pieces of Epic gear directly saved her the trouble of crafting.

Riley snapped a photo of Neeko and Ash fighting over a cake and sent it.

In the photo, the cat–eared girl and the grey–white cub were covered in cream, staring at each other with maximum cuteness.

“TartKing: …That is too adorable! I want one! My poor heart!”

“TartKing AAAGH! Is that the little Neeko you mentioned? She’s so cute! I need to pet that gryphon! When is that portal going to be finished?!”

Even Pineapple Beer sent an emoji holding a little heart.

“SpicyBurger: Soon. I’ll look into it once I’ve settled in. Building a Guild first should save some materials.”
