The two of them smoothly swerved past zones teeming with high-level monsters, taking a hidden route toward Riley’s camp.

By then, the sky had grown dim, and the snowstorm was picking up even more.

When the two snowmobiles crested the last mountain ridge the massive familiar camp came into sight. Riley finally relaxed her tensed-up nerves.

Surprisingly, the area outside the camp was bustling with activity.

Riley spotted several figures moving around in the snow from a distance.

Neeko had shifted into her huge frost bear form. Thick heavy cables were strapped to her body, dragging a big simple sled behind her.

The sled was piled high with treasure chests of all kinds. Those were the loot they’d gone to grab earlier-Riley had ordered them to clear out every ordinary chest spawning nearby.

Next to Neeko, the tiny treant flailed its branch-like arms. It dug chests out of the snow with quick, nimble movements and tossed them onto the sled.

High above them, Ash circled low in the sky. It let out sharp cries every now and then, pointing out the next hidden chest.

Joseph and his two nephews were pushing another smaller sled. Their faces were bright red from the bitter cold, yet wide grins of triumph spread across their faces.

“One, two, three-heave!”

Joseph shouted in rhythm as they lifted a heavy iron chest up onto the sled.

“Uncle! There’s another one over there!”

Jeff pointed excitedly at a snow hollow in the distance.

“Grab it! Bring every last one back! The lord said we take every chest we find, no exceptions!”

A low engine hum cut through the cold air.

Neeko froze on the spot. Her round bear eyes lit up instantly.

“Roar! Riley’s back!”

The two snowmobiles skidded to a sharp halt right outside the camp.

Riley swung her long leg over the bike and hopped off neatly. She pulled out the key and slipped the vehicle straight into her inventory.

Beside her, PineappleBeer took off her frost-covered goggles. She pulled her key out and instinctively held it out to Riley.

“Here.”

Riley was fixing her sleeve cuffs. She glanced down at the key without reaching for it, then waved a hand casually.

“You keep it. You seem to like riding it, and I can’t drive two at once anyway.”

“Huh?” PineappleBeer froze for a second, her hand still hanging in the air. She didn’t bother arguing though, and broke into a grin. “What about TartKing?”

“It’s fine. We can get her another one later. If we got a second bike easily, a third won’t be hard to come by. Besides, we can just give her a ride anytime.”

“Alright! I ain’t gonna say no to that.”

PineappleBeer flashed a wide grin, tucked the key into an inner pocket of her leather armor, and clapped Riley on the shoulder. “Best buds. We stick together through thick and thin.”

“Let’s skip the thin part. Fixing these bikes costs a fortune.” Riley joked, then turned to look at the center of the camp yard.

Rows of treasure chests were lined up neatly under the courtyard’s covered walkway.

There were wooden chests, bronze chests, and even three silver chests glinting softly in the cold air.

A quick count put the total at over twenty.

PineappleBeer whistled in amazement. “Nothing beats having extra hands. We got so much done this fast.”

“Damn right! Neeko and the others crushed it too.”

Hearing the compliment, Neeko shuffled over at once. She planted/her paws on her hips with a proud, smug look on her face.

Riley tallied up their loot.

Fifteen wooden chests, eight bronze chests, three silver chests.

On top of that, the glowing Platinum Chest was still warm inside her inventory.

This airdrop run had been insanely profitable.
