The brutal trash talk on the World Channel had been pure entertainment. Even while xushing over, TartKing had read most of it. [TartKing: Everyone was saying the WarWolf crew got the chest. Did you guys fight them? Are either of you hurt?]

[PineappleBeer: Riley took some damage, but I got payback for her. Also, if you drag your feet any longer, we’re cracking open the Platinum Chest without you. Word says the first unlock gets bonus loot. Could spawn some god-tier gear…]

TartKing, who’d been worrying nonstop about them, instantly panicked. Riley and PineappleBeer exchanged an amused glance.

[TartKing: Ahhh! Don’t you dare! Leave that chest alone!! I’m almost there! Give me five minutes-no, three! I wanna touch the Platinum Chest too! Please!]

Riley smiled and closed her game system interf

“PineappleBeer, let’s clear out these low-grade chests cluttering up the camp before she gets here. Neeko and the others can’t trigger the system unlock function, so it’s gotta be us.”

“Gotit!”

Most of the chests were basic wooden and bronze tiers, but there were tons of them.

Even better, low-grade chests occasionally dropped daily supplies. Those were exactly what their camp was burning through the

There was nothing flashy but at least she scored new gear and blueprints.

Meanwhile, PineappleBeer had also looted a piece of gear from her own chests.

She held up a ring glowing with faint green light.

“The effect’s pretty nice, sucks it’s only green tier.” PineappleBeer twirled the ring in her fingers for a moment, then tossed it straight into the guild storage.

[Obtained: Modified Orange Tree Seed×1]

[Description: Genetically modified cold-resistant fruit tree seed. It still fears extreme frost, but grows rapidly in suitable conditions. Maturation Cycle: 30 days.]

“Fruit!”

Riley’s eyes lit up immediately.

The camp had more than enough stockpiled food-bread, dried meat, canned goods. But fresh fruit was an extreme luxury. It was vital for vitamins, and this modified seed wasn’t just a potted plant, it could withstand the cold better than regular variants.

Riley took the seed and stowed it away carefully.

With the treant helping it grow, they might be eating fresh oranges in a few weeks.

The two chatted casually while keeping their hands busy.

They quickly cleared out over a dozen low-grade chests scattered across the ground.

All the loot was sorted into neat piles: hundreds of timber units, over a hundred coal units, and a messy stack of other basic crafting materials. There were no rare artifacts, yet these supplies were enough to keep an average small survivor camp well-fed and comfortable for an entire week.

Riley brushed dust off her hands and turned her gaze to the three shimmering silver chests.

“How about this-we each open one, and save the last one for TartKing?” PineappleBeer suggested.

“Sounds good.”

Riley didn’t hesitate. She placed her palm on the nearest silver chest.

She took a deep breath and flipped the lid open in one sharp motion.

A burst of silver light flashed across the chest.
