Neeko didn’t have a wide vocabulary, but she was incredible at expressing what she wanted. She shook Riley’s arm desperately and spoke in broken common tongue.
“Tart.. good! Cooking… tasty! Lots… yummy food!

“And… white fluffy… thing…” Neeko waved her hands, trying to shape a dessert, before she finally blurted out two simple words. “So good!”
The three girls laughed at Neeko’s clumsy yet sincere attempt to butter TartKing up.
Even though the intermediate array had better performance, they chose the cheaper basic teleport array to save mana cores. After all, the guild–grade basic array cost barely anything to activate.
“Hum…”
Rune’s on the ancient array burst into bright light with a low rumble. A heavy weightless sensation washed over them, like constantly falling through empty space.
PineappleBeer and TartKing were already used to the feeling from frequent teleporting. Riley and Neeko struggled a little. Despite her sturdy constitution, Riley still felt dizzy for a moment before steadying herself.
“We’re here! Welcome to my little hideout!” TartKing spread her arms proudly.
Riley lifted her head and scanned their surroundings.
They stood in a sheltered nook sandwiched between two steep/jagged cliffs.
The towering rock walls curved inward like giant stone arms, blocking most of the bitter icy wind. The sky remained gray and snowy, but the wind here was far gentler, giving the place a warm, secure vibe.
The vegetation here was surprisingly lush for the frozen wasteland. Hardy climbing vines clung to the cliff faces. Their dark green leaves were dull–colored, but still a precious splash of life amid the endless white snow.
TartKing’s base was clearly a Tier 4 camp. All three of them had upgraded their camps after farming resources during the long night
event.
The small base layout was simple and easy to read. A colorfully decorated main house sat in the center. Several functional buildings surrounded it: a wooden fenced chicken coop and a small crude storage shed.
What drew the eye most was a massive tangled green plant cluster in the camp corner.
Thick python–sized pumpkin vines twisted together, piling up into a mound as big as a small cabin. Giant dark green leaves covered the vines, with faint pale yellow fluorescent veins glowing beneath the surface–clearly no ordinary plant.
“Shhh…”
The massive pumpkin vines suddenly stirred, as if sensing unfamiliar presences.

teaves rustled as six short round figures stumbled out from the vine thicket.

They were miniature humanoids half the height of an average person. Their heads were oversized bright orange pumpkins carved with simple eyes and jagged mouths. Their bodies were woven from vines and wood scraps, and each one gripped a sharpened wooden spear.
“Are these…” Riley raised an eyebrow. “The ‘undernourished‘ pumpkin soldiers you mentioned in the group chat?”
She remembered TartKing complaining earlier that these creatures looked weak and useless, nothing more than decorative props.
“Hehe, that was before!” TartKing puffed out her chest proudly. “They’re totally different now! I fed them tons of high–grade nutrient fluid. Look how strong they look!”
To show off her army, TartKing shouted at the tiny pumpkin beings.
“Everyone! Form ranks!”
