“Yay! You’re the best, Burger!” TartKing didn’t hesitate at all. She slipped on her new boots and hopped around the living room a couple times.
“Whoa! These are so much lighter! I feel like I could jump high enough to hit the ceiling!
“I finally get to see the world from high altitude!” she exclaimed excitedly.
“High altitude? You’re not even short.” PineappleBeer shot her a confused glance.
“I mean my stats.” TartKing circled the two girls in a quick sprint. “Next time we go exploring, I’ll be able to keep up. Don’t leave me behind just because you think I’m dead weight. I hate waiting around alone–it always makes me anxious.”
Riley froze for a second after hearing that.
She hadn’t realized TartKing still thought about that night in the monster forest, when she’d been left alone at the camp while Riley and PineappleBeer went out to rescue others.
Tartking had always been like that. She seemed soft and gentle on the surface, but deep down, she was sensible, dependable, and stubbornly determined to keep up.
“Alright, you’re amazing. You could never be dead weight.”
The three of them messed around in their new loungewear for a while. Once all trivial tasks were settled, Riley’s gaze landed on the newly obtained “Intermediate Teleportation Array” blueprint.
“We’ve got every material we need. Might as well build it now.”
They already owned a basic teleport array blueprint and had plenty of leftover materials. The intermediate version didn’t require many extra resources–the real cost came from each activation.
Riley walked to an empty spot on the side of the yard.
“Use blueprint.”
The blueprint dissolved into glittering starlight in her palm, and the required materials vanished from her inventory.
An invisible force swept away the snow on the ground, exposing the frozen soil beneath. Countless intricate silver magic lines wove across the earth, slowly forming a 13–foot–wide magical formation. A waist–high stone platform rose from the center, embedded with a fist–sized pale blue crystal that pulsed with soft spatial energy.

“So this is the upgraded array…” TartKing circled the platform slowly. “It’s way bigger than the basic one. I hope it doesn’t make us feel dizzy anymore.”
Riley stepped onto the platform and placed her palm against the crystal.
Hum.
A translucent holographic panel popped up in front of her eyes.

“Manual input, huh?”
Riley’s eyes lit up. She quickly typed a string of numbers onto the panel: (6585, 3428, 68)
[Scanning Coordinates: Unidentified Region]
[Initiate Teleportation now?]
“Where’s this place?” PineappleBeer leaned over. The numbers looked strangely familiar. “This is like…”
“You remember now?” A faint smirk tugged at Riley’s lips. “These are the coordinates we used when we raided the Nightfall guild hideout.”
“Nightshade’s camp?” PineappleBeer muttered in realization.
“Yep.” Riley nodded. “We were too low–level back then, so we left right away. I remember there’s a crack behind their camp with exposed crystal veins and some high–tier monsters wandering around.
“We can head over there later if we ever need more crystals. Might find some nice surprises.
“Not today though.” Riley canceled the teleport request. “Energy cores are valuable. It’s getting dark, and we aren’t prepared. No point wasting resources just for sightseeing.”
“Fair enough.” PineappleBeer agreed.
“Hey.”
Riley suddenly turned toward her two friends. “We’ve had teleportation for ages… How about we pay each other a visit?”
