Chapter 263 Hot Home–Cooked Feast
“I’ve got meat too.”
PineappleBeer pulled out a few rock–solid frozen wild boar and deer chunks without hesitation.

“These dropped from the Sanctuary Guild loot crates. I’ve just been saving them for no reason. Wanna cook them up today?”
“Hell yeah!”
“I have some leftover vegetables too. Not much, but enough for the four of us. I got seeds now, so we’ll have unlimited veggies
soon.”
“I have… I have these!”
Neeko thought for a second, then pulled a handful of bright red berries out of her pocket. “Can we put these in?”
“Maybe not this time.” Riley patted her head with a gentle smile. “Leave the cooking to us professionals. You just keep helping over there, okay?”
“Okay.” Neeko drooped her head. She was still new to human language and had no clue how cooking worked. To her, people just tossed random stuff together and magically made delicious food.
Their combined ingredients were pretty decent, though one thing was missing.
“Too bad we don’t have garlic.”
TartKing rummaged through every storage cabinet and sighed. “We’ve got ginger and scallions, but garlic is impossible to find out
here.”
“It’s fine, no big loss.” Riley comforted her. “Skip the garlic, load up on chili. We’ll make it heavy and spicy.”
They quickly split up the work.
As the host and the one who planned the feast, TartKing naturally took charge as head chef.
PineappleBeer handled the meat. She sliced the rock–hard wild boar meat into paper–thin pieces.
Riley prepped the side dishes.
Neeko was in charge of washing ingredients and running small errands. She followed every order obediently, moving around energetically. One second she handed over plates, the next she fetched seasonings, happily keeping herself busy.
“Sizzle!”
TartKing tossed firewood into the stove, and bright orange flames flared up instantly.
Neeko plopped down beside the stove, feeding more firewood in exactly the way TartKing showed her.
The pan heated up fast.
Hot oil hit the metal surface, and the sharp savory aroma of ginger and scallions flooded the entire kitchen.

“Smetts so good!” Neeko stood on her tiptoes, staring into the pan while drooling.
A tiny splash of hot oil made her flinch and yank her head back immediately.
“Patience. The first dish is almost done!”
TartKing flipped the pan smoothly with practiced movements.
The kitchen was spacious enough for four people to move around comfortably.
With everyone pitching in, they finished a full four–course meal plus soup in less than 30 minutes.
The main dishes were braised wild boar and braised chicken.

Wild boar was naturally tough, but TartKing’s careful preparation–marinating it in cooking wine then simmering it over low heat- made the meat tender and flavorful. Glossy dark sauce clung tightly to every chunk, bursting with rich savory flavor with every
bite.
The side dish was scrambled eggs with tomatoes.
Bright golden eggs mixed with vibrant red tomatoes. Sweet and sour tomato sauce wrapped around soft fluffy egg pieces, looking appetizing.
There was also simple sautéed broccoli.
The vivid green broccoli released its pure fresh fragrance after being stir–fried in lard, light and refreshing against the heavy meat
dishes.
Last was a steaming bowl of chicken noodle soup.
On this bitter cold winter night, one sip of the warm broth warmed them straight through from head to toe.
To finish the meal, TartKing served up freshly baked coconut buns and egg tarts straight from the oven. None of these pastries had been stored inside the inventory, keeping them perfectly fresh.
They carried all the food to the dining table in the living room. Riley pulled out a bottle of reserved fruit juice and poured a drink for
everyone.
“Let’s eat!”
At TartKing’s signal, everyone picked up their forks without hesitation.
