TartKing looked worried. “Once prices start spiking, there’s no stopping them. Everyone thinks they won’t be the one left holding the bag. It’s just a stupid bidding game. People lose their minds once prices climb, dying to sell all their supplies to chase the trend.”

Riley fell into quiet thought for a moment.

“What if we warn the people in our group?”

She lifted her head, her gaze firm. “I used to avoid extra trouble and thought running a guild was too much hassle. But after our fight against the Sanctuary Guild, I have to admit–you can’t go far alone in this world. Numbers really do give us an advantage.

“Especially now. The Golden Rose is clearly hoarding strategic resources. If we do nothing, they’ll monopolize rare blueprints and materials, and we’ll be at their mercy.”

Riley glanced at her two closest friends. “Our guild has never had proper structure. The teleport array was basically our only entry requirement. We can use this chance to sort out our core members. We keep the trustworthy, sensible people and invest in them.”

“I agree.” PineappleBeer nodded without hesitation.

They wasted no time.

Riley opened her group chat named “Region 8 Survivors“.

She sent a simple emoji first.

The chat, which had been filled with casual banter, went dead silent for a few seconds before exploding with nonstop messages.

[Random_A: The big boss is alive!]

[Random_B: Don’t phrase it like she died!]

Riley skimmed the familiar and unfamiliar usernames. She cut straight to the point with no extra nonsense.

[SpicyBurger: No orders. The market’s acting weird lately. If you trust me, trade any unnecessary gear, blueprints, and basic materials for fuel resources these couple days. Keep anything meant for heating.]

[SpicyBurger: Most importantly–do NOT sell your small heating appliance blueprints. They look useless right now, and someone’s deliberately buying them cheap. That means they’ll be valuable later.]

Riley avoided directly mentioning the incoming cold wave. She only pointed out the suspicious price manipulation. She could not expose PineappleBeer’s past–life memories.

The group blew up instantly after her message.

[Random B: Huh? But coal is super expensive right now. Won’t we take a loss trading for it?]

The mood had been steady until LogicalAnalyst’s comment. Many people started doubting Riley and hesitated. Some even kept asking if Riley would cover their losses.

Riley felt utterly annoyed. She had no idea if the guy was intentionally stirring up trouble or genuinely that ignorant.

She understood people staying cautious, but she hated that arrogant act–acting like he was the only smart one who saw through everything, while intentionally swaying public opinion.

None of them offered Riley a cut of their profits when they gained money. Why should she cover their losses?
