Chapter 268 Purple Gear and Epic Boots
Every single one of those materials would eventually be forged into powerful pieces of gear.
Inside the tool shed on Riley’s camp…
“Ding! Enhancement Successful!”

A system chime rang out. Bright purple light burst from Storm Splitter Dual Axes, the oldest weapon in Riley’s inventory.
[Storm Splitter Dual Axes (Purple)]
[Stats: Strength +14]
[Passive 1: Dual Wield Swiftness]
[Passive 2: Bloodthirst]
[Passive 3: Boomerang (New). If no solid heavy obstacles block the path, the axes can be recalled telepathically back to the user’s hand’s.]
“I did it!”
Riley gripped the seemingly living axes, a sharp flash of excitement flickering in her eyes.
She had burned 30 Upgrade Cards to upgrade the axes from blue to purple tier. The stats boost was incredible, but the real surprise was the brand–new Boomerang passive.
It was basically the same ability as Thor’s hammer.
She pictured it clearly: throwing an axe to take down an enemy, casually summoning it back mid–battle, and mowing down anyone unlucky enough to get in the way on its return flight.
The image looked absolutely badass.
Riley walked to the shed entrance. She tossed one axe outward without effort, then focused her mind.
The axe, which had embedded itself into the dirt, trembled faintly. Drawn by an invisible psychic pull, it zoomed straight back and Landed perfectly in her palm.
“So cool.”
She couldn’t help but praise her own new weapon.
“If I keep upgrading this thing, it might turn into a divine artifact one day.”
Riley stroked the axe handle affectionately. “I need to save my Upgrade Cards from now on. Every single card poured into these
axes is worth it.”
After finishing her weapon upgrade, she moved on to her wrist guard–the Pioneer’s Wristguard, a permanent system achievement reward she had never replaced.
She pulled out another 32 Upgrade Cards.

Two cards pushed it to blue tier, and the remaining thirty boosted it all the way to purple.

Only someone as well–stocked as Riley could afford–such reckless upgrading. She had farmed countless Upgrade Cards in the monster forest, after all.
Bright light flickered across the worn gear. Its dull gray–green shell faded away, replaced by a deep glossy metallic blue. A mornént later, the color shifted once more into vivid purple.
[Pioneer’s Wristguard (Purple)]
[Stats Strength +15, Constitution +1]
[Passive 1: Lumberjack’s Proficiency]
[Passive 2: Mighty Wrist (New). Wrist strength increases by 10 points while carrying items.]
[Passive 3: Work Efficiency (New). During gathering and mining activities, resource yield rises by 10% and stamina consumption drops by 10%.]
“Damn.”
Riley nearly laughed out loud at the amazing stats.
Every single upgrade added a brand–new passive effect. On top of that, the gear had zero durability decay. Enhancing permanent equipment was profitable.
The cost, however, was outrageous. Upgrading one piece to orange tjer required a hundred cards.
Over the next two days, Riley only did necessary resource gathering and focused entirely on crafting every useful blueprint she had.
First, she mass–produced over a dozen gas canisters using the Liquefied Gas Canister blueprint.
She had already installed gas stoves and canisters in her kitchen. Riley planned to ask TartKing for cooking lessons sometime soon. Back on Blue Star, she could barely cook edible meals and mostly ordered takeout.
She sent all extra gas canisters over to TartKing’s camp.
After that, she crafted five more Wind Turbines.
She gave two turbines to TartKing, two to PineappleBeer, and the last set to Joseph.
Temperatures kept dropping steadily. Both girls lacked enough electricity to run their new heating devices, so Riley made up for their power shortage.
Installation was simple. Since the coal mine counted as guild territory, Joseph’s side could use the system build function to finish
construction with zero extra effort.
Finally, the most exciting moment arrived.
On the evening of the fourth day, Riley stared at the piles of materials on the ground and let out a long breath.
She had everything she needed.
