Chapter 277 The Golden Rose’s Breaking Point
“How is this possible?! Aside from us, who else has this massive stockpile on the entire server?!!

“I have no idea.” Golden FlowerSea frowned. “But we’ve already traded away half our reserves. Should we keep buying?”
“Keep buying!” GoldenGrass gritted his teeth. “We have fate on our side this time. Once we buy out every last supply, we control the market price completely!”
On the third day of the brutal blizzard, inside the tool shed at Riley’s camp.
Riley, PineappleBeer, and TartKing sat around a massive workbench. Half–cut lumber laid across the table, while the tiny treant helped them assemble wooden parts.
There was nothing else to do while stuck indoors. The three girls planned to craft a set of small wooden furniture, including lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, and round stools, to store inside their two subspaces.
They had no blueprints for the crafts, but with the treant’s help and a full set of tools, they could easily craft everything from raw
materials.
After finishing all the heavy cutting work, the three girls decided to take a break and check the trading post.
On the system panel, market data jumped wildly like a rollercoaster.
“These Golden Rose people are ridiculously stubborn.”
PineappleBeer stared at the flickering buy orders. “They’re still hoarding supplies even now. Just how much liquid assets do they have?”
The trading post had turned into an endless black hole.
The Golden Rose Chamber of Commerce acted like a desperate gambler. Whenever prices dipped slightly, they spammed high value buy orders to swallow every leftover supply on the market, forcing fuel prices to stay artificially inflated.
“They bought again?”
Riley watched as her newly listed five hundred units of High–Quality Smokeless Coal sold out instantly.
“My batch is gone. How about yours, Pineapple?”
“Sold out too. Same core materials as always.”
PineappleBeer gestured at the new stack of loot in her inventory.
“Refined Steel Ingots, Dark Beast Ligaments, Mana Crystal Powder… They covered the rest with random extra materials. Their private stock is definitely running low.”
“Then we keep going.”
Riley showed zero mercy. She split another batch of reserves and handed separate portions to PineappleBeer and TartKing to list individually.

They only released a few hundred units at a time, making Golden Rose believe they could easily buy out the stock and retake market control. Yet every time the guild finished purchasing one batch, another magically appeared out of nowhere.
Once. Twice. Three times.
This went on for three whole days.
Riley’s group never pushed them into total despair all at once. They paused for a while after every sale, tricking Golden Rose into thinking each batch was the very last of the anonymous seller’s stock.
They gave the guild false hope, then crushed it over and over again.
The longer the blizzard dragged on, the more terrified Golden Rose became of the storm ending, making them increasingly desperate.
Like a bottomless gold–eating beast, Golden Rose swallowed nearly six thousand units of premium coal from the three girls.
These were sky–high prices after multiple market surges.

Every single coal unit was traded for rare treasures hoarded by regular survivors, or precious resources stockpiled painstakingly by Golden Rose itself.
Weapon Upgrade Cards, Energy Cores, all kinds of special functional consumables…
“Six thousand units… Golden Rose truly has deep pockets.” Riley nodded calmly.
“It looks like they secretly monopolized plenty of resources before this.
“Too bad they ran into us.
“It’s almost enough.”
Riley glanced at the market curve. Golden Rose’s purchase speed had clearly slowed down, and they even began posting small sell orders.
She knew this silent economic war was drawing to an end.
“Their liquid funds are completely drained.”
Riley closed the trading panel and stretched her arms.
