Chapter 278 Golden Rose’s Defeat
“Who the hell is this person? Or has someone been hoarding supplies to sabotage our plan from the very start?”
GoldenGrass kicked his chair over in a fit of rage.

“Our rare materials are almost gone! The guild members are already growing restless. The guild warehouse is practically empty, and people will start causing trouble soon. All we have leftis coal. Once the blizzard ends, these prices are definitely going to
crash.”
“What if we start selling too?”
GoldenAbacus made the suggestion’cautiously.
“Prices are slightly lower than the peak, but we can still turn a profit. If we wait any longer and that anonymous seller dumps another batch, we’ll be stuck holding all this useless coal.”
GoldenGrass took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and stayed quiet for a long time.
Finally, he waved his hand weakly.
“Sell.
“But don’t flood the market too fast. Recover some of our funds first. We’ll hold onto the rest of the coal for now. We need to
stabilize our members.”
GoldenGrass knew their farce couldn’t keep going. The guild had nearly run out of valuable resources.
Still, he couldn’t stop wondering where the endless coal supply had come from. He even suspected the system itself was secretly releasing stock to collect rare materials. Knowing how greedy the system was, it wasn’t impossible.
“Has fate finally abandoned me?”
GoldenGrass leaned back in his chair, his mind a chaotic mess. Every possible explanation crossed his mind, leaving him nothing but regret and bitter frustration.
For the first time, the Golden Rose Chamber of Commerce–an organization that always lurked in the shadows to exploit others- had suffered a devastating loss.

As Golden Rose stopped buying and began dumping fuel, the once rock–solid coal prices finally deflated like an empty balloon.
The prices hadn’t dropped to rock bottom, but they had fallen to an affordable range that regular players could barely scrape together.
The fuel war started by Golden Rose, hijacked and crushed by Riley, had finally come to an end. Golden Rose left with massive losses, while piles of rare materials flowed straight into Riley’s hands.
Inside Riley’s tool shed….
“We hit the jackpot! We seriously hit the jackpot!”

FartKing stared at her overflowing inventory in pure excitement.
“Burger, I just organized my bag, and now it’s stuffed again. There are all kinds of rare materials!”

The orange–tier crafting materials/Riley had specifically demanded were not massive in quantity. Even so, combining them with system rewards and scattered resources collected over time, she now had enough materials to craft four full sets of orange gear.
“Perfect timing.”
Riley quickly calculated their stock.
“We have three pairs of boots and two leg bands. All three of us already own the boots, and TartKing has one leg band. I’ll craft two more leg bands, so each of us will have a complete max–tier orange gear set.
“Also…”
Riley glanced at the three extra pairs of Polar Walker Boots and a sharp glint flashed in her eyes.
“We’ll put these extra pairs in the guild warehouse for members to exchange.”
“Sounds good.” PineappleBeer nodded.
“We already have our own gear. Sharing the extras makes sense. Stronger members mean a stronger guild. Just make sure no sketchy people get their hands on them.”
“Don’t worry. I set the exchange bar extremely high.” Riley pointed at her management panel.
“Members need five thousand contribution points and Elite Member rank. Nobody can earn that without grinding hard for one or two months. Plus, we personally approve every Elite promotion.”
TartKing gave a thumbs–up.
“Even if nobody can claim it right now, just having that orange icon sitting in the warehouse will hype everyone up.”
Riley smiled and began crafting quietly inside the tool shed.
Half an hour later…
