Chapter 695 Star–Eating Beast of Time
Chapter 695 Star–Eating Beast of Time
Pineapple Beer didn’t give chase.
She suddenly pressed a hand to her forehead.
The light inside the crystal turned bright.
The stone tablet behind the throne shook harder and harder.

All the shadow fragments that had just merged into her body started thrashing, like they were trying to tear their way back out.
Riley seized the chance and rushed to her side.
“PineappleBeer.”
Pineapple Beer lifted her head.
This time, she recognized Riley clearly.
“Burger.”
Her voice was barely audible.
TartKing ran over right after.
“How are you feeling right now?”
PineappleBeer turned to look at her. Her mind was far clearer, but her complexion looked absolutely terrible.
“I feel weird. Like I stuffed myself way too full.”
TartKing was already tearing up, yet she almost laughed at that terrible joke.
PineappleBeer’s gaze dropped to the crystal in her hand.
A thin crack spread across the crystal’s surface.

The silvery–white lights holding the tomb’s space together were erased by some invisible rule. Black void holes lingered where they vanished. Tiny cracks spread outward from the hole edges, snaking toward the throne, the crystal, and Pineapple Beer all at once.
The crystal grew drastically heavy in her
grasp.
PineappleBeer let out a quiet groan and dropped to one knee.
Riley reached out to steady her.
This time, she wasn’t pushed away.
But the second her fingers touched Pineapple Beer’s arm, a freezing cold pierced her palm, slowly draining something out of her body little by little.
Her Star–Breaker Gauntlets flared brightly, barely blocking the strange drain.
Still, Riley refused to let go.
Pineapple Beer gritted her teeth. “Riley, let go of me, quick.”
Riley’s tone was firm. “Quiet.”
TartKing frantically spammed cleansing and healing skills, but nothing could stop Pineapple Beer’s fading form.
The aura from PineappleBeer’s gear started layering and overlapping too.
Her current Shadow Rift Gloves and Gap Retreat Short Cloak stacked on top of the far stronger gear from her past life in the memory shards. It was like countless versions of herself were pulling her in opposite directions all at once.
Watching this scene, the reddish–brown heavy armor leader halted his advance and stepped
back.
The scarred man’s expression turned grim as well.
“The rules are rewriting…”
Someone from the random player group yelled in panic, “The artifact’s gone haywire! Run!”
The black–cloaked assassins retreated faster than anyone else.
They’d only come to loot the crystal. The second they saw it backfiring, they abandoned their ambush plan.

But the tomb’s traps wouldn’t let anyone escape so easily.

Stone pillars shot up along the platform’s edges and closed in, forming a half–circle barrier trapping everyone inside.
Two survivors who’d nearly reached the exit got lashed by starlight chains. One’s shoulder instantly withered. The other got his legs frozen in place mid–step, his body still lurching forward before he crashed down screaming.
The chasing factions finally fell into total chaos.
No one cared about stealing the crystal anymore.
Everyone was only scrambling for a way out.
Riley held Pineapple Beer steady, staring at the spreading crystal cracks.
“Is the crystal backfiring on you?”
Sweat covered PineappleBeer’s forehead.
“It’s not just the crystal.”
She lifted her gaze toward the dead starlight above.
“It’s the world rules themselves.”
TartKing’s voice shook with anxiety. “What kind of rules?”
Pineapple Beer’s lips turned pale.
“I escaped this once before. Everything that’s happening is just history repeating itself.”
Right after she spoke, another crack split open on the crystal.
A low, dull boom echoed from deep within the tomb.
Every single person on the platform froze for a split second.
The sound wasn’t from shifting traps or grinding stone.
It sounded like something ancient waking up in the dark, breaking down the seals that locked it away.
The stone tablet behind the throne split straight down the middle.

Black flames and silver starlight gushed out from the fissure.
A massive claw stretched out through the darkness.

The claw was bigger than a stone table, covered in jagged rock and bony armor, with silvery starlight oozing through the cracks in its bones. When it landed on the platform, the stone floor didn’t shatter–instead, a frozen zone of complete stillness spread outward.
Every speck of dust, drop of blood, and broken shard in that area froze mid–air.
A second claw emerged next.
Then a third.
The black flames tore open wider.
A colossal monster squeezed out of the tablet’s crack.
Half its body looked forged from swirling starlight, the other half wrapped in black flame and thick bone armor. It had no normal facial features–only rows of silvery glowing eyes scattered across its skull plates. Broken weapons and crushed stones jutted out from its back, like it had grown straight from the tomb’s ruins.
The moment it fully appeared, its massive shadow blanketed half the platform.
The reddish–brown heavy armor leader cursed under his breath, showing fear for the first time.
“What the hell is this thing?”
A system prompt flashed briefly in front of Riley’s eyes.
[Time Wraith Star–Eater Beast]
[Level: ???]
Every single eye on the monster locked onto PineappleBeer at the same time.
All the returning shadows, twisted time karma, and residual light from the shattered artifact coiled tightly around her body.
The Time Wraith Star–Eater Beast had fixed its target on her.
Riley reacted instantly.
