“As far as I know, Vincent was personally promoted by Curtis. He’s basically Curtis’s right–hand man nd has been handling Lincoln Group’s affairs for him all along. This man is absolutely loyal to Curtis. aside… the fact that Curtis deliberately left this piece on the board inside Lincoln Group means } given up control. Sooner or later, he’ll come back and fight you for it,” Chandler said meaningfully as he looked at Denton.
Without Harold, Denton had lost his biggest backer.
If he didn’t rely on outside forces, then no matter how capable Denton became in the future, he wouldn’t be Curtis’s match.
Curtis had been in Lincoln Group for years. His connections and abilities were obvious to everyone.

“Curtis and I are real brothers. Between the two of us, it doesn’t matter who’s in charge. I came out of a small town. As long as I have enough to eat and live on, that’s fine. I’m not greedy.” Denton made his stance clear. He wasn’t going to be provoked by anyone.
“Denton, you’re too young. This society runs on survival of the fittest, Money controls power, and power can be intoxicating…” Chandler smiled slightly. Denton simply hasn’t tasted the pleasure of power yet.
He just came out of a small town and doesn’t yet understand the confidence and status wealth can bring.
“Denton, you also know that when your grandpa was alive, he arranged an engagement between the Lincolns and the Bartons. My niece, Nicole…” Chandler was here today to extend an olive branch.
“I’m not marrying Nicole. I’m not interested in her,” Denton rejected him outright.
Chandler’s expression stiffened for a moment, then he smiled again. “Alright, alright. Even if you don’t marry, young people should still spend more time getting to know each other.”
Denton’s expression turned cold. “Is there anything else you wanted to say, Mr. Barton? If not, I need to leave. I have classes tomorrow.”
Chandler looked at Denton. He’d originally planned to discuss cooperation today, but Denton was still too clean. He hadn’t been corrupted by money or power yet. Only by driving a wedge between him and Curtis could the next step begin.
There was no rush.

“I came today to talk about your marriage to Nicole. Since you’re so resistant and still young, the mediator,” Chandler said with a smile, doing his best to lower Denton’s guard. “Alright, since your heading back to Haldoria, I won’t take up more of your time.”
Chandler stood up and didn’t say anything more.
As he turned to leave, the smile vanished from his face. He shot the secretary a meaningful look. The secretary quickly lowered her head.
Denton watched Chandler leave. That old fox definitely won’t give up so easily.

“This is a cooperation agreement that Mr. Curtis approved before. Please sign here,” the secretary said, bringing over a contract for Denton to sign.
Denton stayed alert and glanced through it. “From now on, all projects go through Mr. Males. I won‘ be involved in company decisions for the time being.”
“These were all reviewed by Mr. Curtis. You just need to sign. Mr. Curtis’s ability is obvious to everyone. His choices won’t be wrong. You’re just taking what’s already prepared. Copying homework this simple shouldn’t be too hard, right?” the secretary said pointedly. The implication was clear. Everything Denton had now came from Curtis.
The employees all trusted Curtis and didn’t take Denton seriously at all. To them, he was just a sent here to coast.
Denton frowned and looked at her coldly. “If I sign this and something goes wrong, who takes responsibility? You or me? I said all decisions go through Mr. Males.”
Seeing Denton get angry, the secretary lowered her head and left.
“Mr. Lincoln, it’s time to leave,” Ambrose said after checking the time.
Denton nodded and walked out of the office with him. Near the pantry, he overheard employees whispering.
“That Denton is just a kid. He just started college. What could he possibly know? Mr. Harold probably just put him there to coast. I really miss Mr. Curtis.”
“Denton’s got some nerve. Mr. Curtis tailored the suit, and he just slipped it on.”
Denton slowed his steps, anger flashing across his face.
Ambrose lowered his voice. “Mr. Lincoln … don’t take it to heart.”
Denton said nothing and got into the elevator.
Haldoria.
Curtis and Adriana returned home, and Adriana collapsed onto the couch in exhaustion.
Ever since she got pregnant, she’d been tired all the time and always sleepy.
“Tired?” Curtis rubbed Adriana’s head and gently massaged her legs.
“Curtis, are you really okay leaving Lincoln Group to Denton?” Adriana asked softly.
Curtis didn’t answer.
Denton was still young. Even though they’d signed a nominee shareholding agreement, once Denton grew up and refused to honor it, it would indeed be troublesome.
“He’s still young. There’s no rush,” Curtis said, reassuring Adriana.
