After saying that, Denton dragged his suitcase and left in a sorry state.

“Denton, you can come stay at my place first,” Savannah said anxiously as she chased after him.
“That wouldn’t be appropriate. Men and women should keep their distance. I’ll stay at a hotel. I can stay at any hotel owned by the Lincoln Group,” Denton said with a grim expression, clearly angry.
“You don’t need to ask Curtis either. Even if you do, he’ll just make excuses. There’s no point,” Savannah said deliberately, trying to drive a wedge between them. “But don’t fall out with him completely. That won’t do you any good. Just pretend to get along with him. He’s offended so many people, and who knows, one day he might be gone. You’ll still need to fight for Mr. Harold’s inheritance.”
Denton stopped and looked at Savannah. “Thank you.”
Savannah smiled. “Nah, Mr. Harold asked me to take care of you. He trusted me, so I have to live up to that trust.”
The taxi Denton had called arrived. He got in and left. Once Savannah disappeared from his sight, he quietly took out his phone and sent Curtis a message. “Curtis, someone said they were your men. They reclaimed and inventoried the assets in your name and kicked me out of that small villa.”
“Fake. Ignore it,” Curtis replied.
Curtis couldn’t be bothered to explain even one extra word.
Denton grinned foolishly in the back seat of the car.
He knew Curtis would never kick him out.
“They’re deliberately trying to drive a wedge between us. I’m going to start acting now,” Denton texted back happily.
Curtis didn’t reply.
Denton’s head drooped again.
What is Curtis doing? Why is he ignoring me?
He had no idea that at that very moment, Curtis was washing fruit for his wife.

Ten minutes later, Curtis finally replied. “Delete the chat history.”
Those few words were enough to make Denton happy for a long time.
He cheerfully deleted the chat history and sat there grinning to himself.

“In love are we, young man?” the driver asked when he saw Denton smiling foolishly, thinking he was dating someone.
Denton quickly denied it. “No, no.”
For a child like Denton, who had grown up in an environment severely lacking love, he needed someone to care for him more than anything else.
Just after Denton left, Savannah went to Danielle’s residence in Haldoria.
After Danielle and Chandler were driven out by the Bartons, Danielle returned to Haldoria. It was nearly impossible for her to survive in Harborton’s business circle anymore, so she could only go back to Haldoria and start over.
Since Curtis currently had no power to suppress them, Danielle naturally wouldn’t miss such a good opportunity.
Besides, with the connections of the people backing her and Chandler, she was certain she could rise quickly again.
“How was it? Did it go smoothly?” Danielle opened the door for Savannah and asked.
“Of course. With me handling it, how could it not be?” Savannah said proudly as she sat down on the sofa. “Do you think I’m like that fool?”
Danielle’s face darkened with anger. “Don’t mention that fool.”
“How did you even find Nicole in the first place? You picked such a fool,” Savannah said disdainfully. “She almost got you killed. Luckily, Jeremy still had a bit of affection left and didn’t completely destroy you.”
Danielle snorted. “I thought someone that stupid would be easy to control. I didn’t expect to end up shooting myself in the foot instead. But it doesn’t matter. At least Curtis has already been kicked out of the Lincoln Group. As long as Denton turns against Curtis in private and we use Denton well, we can still win.”
“Denton grew up in the countryside. He has no schemes and is far too simple. He’s easy to manipulate. He believed whatever I say,” Savannah laughed proudly, as if Denton were already a well–trained, obedient dog.

“It still had to be you who stepped in. Back then, Harold thought so highly of you. With you handling this, there was never going to be a problem. Besides, Denton is just starting out. A country bumpkin taking over a massive company like Lincoln Group before even going to college, of course, he’s confused. If you’re willing to help him, he’ll naturally listen to you,” Danielle said as she looked at Savannah. “If you can get him to marry you, you’ll be climbing straight to the top.”
Savannah raised an eyebrow. “Too bad, innocent puppy like him isn’t my type.”
Danielle scoffed. “Don’t even think about that guy. Someone that high and untouchable will only become obedient after being trampled into the mud.”
Danielle’s voice was low.
Savannah said nothing. She agreed with Danielle.
Aside from Danielle, no one knew that the person Savannah liked was Justin.
That distant and ascetic man.
She liked Justin, yet she helped Danielle destroy him, because she knew that she would never be able to have him unless he was ruined.
Only after Justin was pushed down from his pedestal would she be able to step in like a savior and pull him back up. Only then would Justin devote himself to her completely.
Denton began living a frugal life. Although he was managing the Lincoln Group, after taking over the company, he had not directly participated in its operations due to his age and his studies. The company’s dividends were only distributed at the end of the year, and for now, Denton did not receive any salary at all.
