After both of them left, Curtis carefully placed the babies beside Adriana and held her in his arms. “Babe, you worked so hard.”

Adriana smiled. In that moment, she felt nothing but happiness–all the hardship was worth it. “The babies still don’t have names.”

“Let’s think of some together.”

Curtis smiled and sat on the edge of the bed, carefully watching the two sleeping little ones.

In Harborton, Justin hadn’t contacted Savannah in quite some time, and she was going insane.

“Justin! Why … why haven’t you been responding to my messages?” Savannah blocked Justin as he was about to get in his car, her voice choked with emotion.

Justin sighed with a troubled expression. “Savannah, I only see you as a little sister. We probably shouldn’t keep in touch for now.”

Savannah said angrily, “Did someone say bad things about me to you?”

Justin looked at Savannah. “When you were abroad, did you bully people often?”

Savannah’s heart sank. Someone really had ratted her out. “Justin, I’m just a powerless butler’s daughter. Who could I possibly bully? The school Harold sent me to was full of trust fund kids. How would I dare to bully them? They bullied me first–I was just defending myself.”

Savannah said through tears, “Justin, don’t listen to other people’s lies, especially that Danielle. Her own personal life is a mess, and she has the nerve to talk trash about others.”

Justin raised an eyebrow. “You’re right, I shouldn’t just believe what others say. I apologize. But I really do have something urgent today. I’ll take you out to dinner another time to make it up to you.”

Savannah breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, “Okay, Justin. I’ll wait to hear from you.”

Justin got in the car, and the smile froze on his face.

“Mr. Hotchner, Savannah had someone grab a mother and son.” His assistant said softly in the

car.

“Don’t worry about it. Just sit back and watch the show.” Justin’s lips curved up.

Watching Justin’s car drive away, Savannah gritted her teeth. “I knew it was that bitch Danielle talking trash about me.”

She just knew it had to be Danielle.

“Ms. Feron, we grabbed that mother and son at the mall today,” one of her subordinates said softly.

Savannah’s lips curved into a smile. “It’s time to negotiate with my dear father.”

She was going to use that mother and son’s lives to force Ernest to hand over control of Lincoln Group.

Lincoln Group was now under the control of the Ferons father–daughter duo. All the people Curtis had left behind had been completely purged. Lincoln Group was already in their grasp. Savannah wasn’t worried about any unexpected changes at Lincoln Group–after all, Denton was abroad.

So Savannah could now deal with Ernest without any restraint.

In Pastalia, Denton had just moved into his rental apartment when he received a phone call. “Savannah took that mother and son. Ernest knows now. The father and daughter are about to have a complete falling out.”

Denton raised an eyebrow. “Savannah really moved fast. I thought it would take at least another six months.”

It had only been a few months, and Savannah had already done it.

After kissing Adriana’s forehead, Curtis spoke again. “The Gills really aren’t as simple as they seem. I heard Maya’s brother is coming to Pastalia on business soon to visit his sister. Don’t have too much contact with him.”

Adriana nodded, feeling a bit of separation anxiety.

Probably because of the hormonal instability right after giving birth, Adriana’s eyes were red. She held back her tears, afraid to seem too needy, or Curtis would leave worried about her.

“Yolanda and Denton are here, and Irene and Gary aren’t going back home for now either. You won’t be too lonely.” Curtis felt reassured about Adriana. Being in Pastalia was safer than returning home right now. No matter how far those people’s reach extended, it would be hard for them to get to her here. And even if they did, Gary was here.
