Ernest stayed silent for a long time, frowning slightly, his complexion looking worse by the second. “I didn’t order the accident. Don’t let yourself get manipulated.

He tried to talk sense into Savannah.

“Dad, it’s too late for that.” Savannah laughed, her voice a little wild.

Suddenly, Ernest started coughing hard, spitting up black blood.

It was clear Savannah had arranged for him to be poisoned.

He glared at Savannah in rage, tried to stand, but collapsed to the floor.

Savannah watched him suffer, her laughter turning manic.

She’d lost control in the heat of the moment and had someone poison her father’s food.

Regret hit her, but it was already too late.

She didn’t even know when she’d started losing control.

Ernest stared at Savannah, filled with resentment, until his breathing finally stopped.

“Mr. Feron!” The butler rushed in, panic–stricken as he dialed 911.

Savannah stared coldly at the butler and the maid. “My father accidentally ingested poison. Understand?”

The butler and maid were too scared to speak. They nodded, then rushed Ernest to the hospital.

“Yes, Mister…” Savannah called the man behind the curtain. Now that Ernest was gone, there was no one left to keep her down. She could finally become Mister’s trusted right hand.

“My father was poisoned and collapsed at home. He probably won’t make it,” Savannah said

The Gills wanted to grab shares and all the business resources from the four great families. Mister wanted the same thing. Their goals were identical.

Adriana sat in her office, sorting through Barton Group files. Justin had called in sick and w staying away from Barton Tower, but he quietly arranged for all the paperwork to be hand over to Adriana.

She had a lot to learn, and she hadn’t slept well in days.

Rubbing her forehead, Adriana leaned back on the sofa, gazing out the window.

Looking back on her life, from orphan to where she was now, everything felt like a dream.

“Adriana!” Kenneth burst into the office, breathless. “Ernest is dead. He was poisoned. The doctors couldn’t save him. The police ruled that the new cook accidentally used pesticide in the food.”

Adriana froze for a second, the files still in her hand.

The vicious dogfight between Savannah and Ernest was finally coming to a close.

It was an unknown number. Adriana knew immediately–it was Curtis.

She answered anxiously, worried there might be bugs in the office.

“Ernest is dead.” Curtis got right to the point. “Adriana, from here on out, Mister will use Savannah to fight for control of Lincoln Group. You and Denton need to get ready.”
